From start to finish, my five days at Dan and Clover were exactly what I had hoped they would be. It was the perfect place for me to stay at the very beginning of my six week stay in India. The owners did so much to make me feel comfortable. From their helpful welcoming on arrival to their daily care, I could not have asked for a better reception. One […] example is the owner introducing me to the spacious community park just around the corner and walking on its many trails with me on my first morning there. The quality of food was extraordinary. It was pure bliss to experience such careful preparation and great variety in the dinners, which you can order to eat there. Dan and Clover is a great little guesthouse on a quiet residential street. We didn't want hotel style accommodation which is why we chose it. You get a very clean, quiet, comfortable room with AC and en suite bathroom, and access to a well stocked kitchen and large pleasant living room. The staff are very friendly and helpful and live on the floor below […] so are always available. They provide fresh breakfast every day, do your laundry for you, and the rest of the time leave you in peace. If you want somewhere that feels like your own appartment (where someone else makes you sandwiches and washes your clothes!) then this is the place for you. Read more

Dan & Clover is quite a nice place but the main difficulty is finding it - even for seasoned taxi drivers. Make sure you get a detailed map of the area around the B&B. Once you orientate yourself, it's then easy enough to go to the Nehru Place metro and get into town. They can also assist with directions if asked. For arrival, ask them to arrange an […] airport pickup to save you a bit of hassle. For a home stay, it's surprisingly discreet and private - the family live on another floor and you don't often see anyone. You call on the internal phone if you want anything (sadly, this broke down during our stay, which made things a little awkward). There is a lovely communal lounge and dining area where meals are served. The Jamun room where we stayed has a delightful private balcony. The bed is quite hard though. Service: My partner was ill and they were very kind, providing mineral salts and good, simple food for him. They also helped arrange taxis for us (we had no real idea how to explain where it was). Breakfast each day was quite nice - cornflakes, toasted sandwiches, fruit, lassi and good masala chai. If you're after a clean, cheap'ish alternative out of the central city, this is an OK place to be. Read more
