This hotel is in a great location within walking distance of many downtown sights. We had a very nice room with great view. Budapest is all lite up at night. The hotel breakfast was very good, and the front desk people were helpful in arranging a bus tour for us about 20 minutes before the next scheduled departure. From the outside the hotel did not blend in with its surroundings, however the view from our room and the interior decor were great. It was good to have the use of the executive area for breakfast and to be able to sit in there anytime with food and drink freely available. "The place to stay in Budapest"
Marriott hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Budapest. Sightseeing boat tours, loads of nice restaurants, beautifiul bridges- just 5 minutes walk! Rudas thermal baths are just 10 min walk away over Elizabeth's bridge. We went there early in the morning and spent 2 hours in the thermal baths, then returned back to the hotel for delicious breakfast […] (which is served untill 11 am!) "Hotel Marriott Budapest"
The hotel has a perfect location, just by the river and very central. We were happy with the standard of the hotel and the possibilities offered to us by the hotel, f. ex jucuzzi, fitness center etc. However, what disappointed us was the behavior of some of the staff, there were two people at the reception who we thought were quite rude and arrogant. […] This actually contributed to making our experience with Marriott hotel a bit unpleasant, all in all. We will not be staying here the next time we will visit Budapest. It was surprising since we were impressed with the hospitality and kindness of the hungarians in restaurants and shops everywhere else, but that was not the case with some of the people working at this hotel.
