On the southern tip of the Istrian peninsular, this port town’s Roman monuments include the imposing Arena, a first-century amphitheatre hosting summer concerts and an annual film festival. Pula is also home to two yachting marinas and some top class seafood restaurants. The larger modern hotels with sports facilities are mostly out of town in Verudela. The scattered islands of Brijuni National Park make a pleasant one-day boat trip.

Had a great time at Park Plaza in early June. I wish the hours of operation for resort establishments were provided (accurately) when we arrived as it seems that many restaurants and services were limited in hours or not yet open for the summer season. We didn't plan meals well enough accordingly. We stayed in a room with a sea view (worth the extra […] $$) and it was pleasant and relatively quiet. Pula, the town itself, has lots of road construction right now. If you are traveling by car and unfamiliar with the area --- call for driving directions as US/GPS will not route you around the city appropriately. The staff at the Park Plaza was really helpful to us. My only complaint was the bed could've been softer and there are no beach towels for rent at the pool (this was not our only stop on our holiday and we were not going to travel with or buy one for use in one place.) The bathroom was gorgeous. The kitchen was outfitted well enough. If you are planning to stay a week - it's a great place. If you need a place with which to hop off easily from for day trips - I might recommend another town in Croatia. All in all though, we were really happy with the place and the value for the $. "Flott hotell, harde senger og kjedelig mat"
Et greit hotell til en hyggelig pris. I tidligere anmeldelser hadde jeg merket meg at mange klagde på ukomfortable sovesofaer. Vi bestilte derfor eget soverom for å sikre nattesøvnen. Sengen på soverommet viste seg i midlertidig å være så hard at vi valgte å sove på sovesofaen i stedet da dette var mer komfortabelt. Maten i Pula er ikke veldig spennende. […] Matprisene på restauranter var omtrent halvparten av norske priser (store porsjoner), men vin var ikke stort billigere enn i Norge. Vi var der tidlig på året, og det pågikk derfor fortsatt en del arbeider for å klargjøre hotellet for sesongen. Det var ingen sandstrender på området, men et par steinstrender og klipper man kunne bade fra. Vannet i sjøen var svært klart. Hotellet har to bassenger som begge to har saltvann og som ikke er oppvarmet. Vi tok oss en dukkert den ene dagen, og til tross for det svært kalde vannet, var vi godt fornøyd med bassengfasilitetene. Bassengene passer imidlertidig ikke spesielt godt for de som har barn yngre enn 5 år. Alt i alt var vi greit fornøyd med oppholdet. Merk dere at hotellet opererer med en turistskatt som det ikke opplyses om på nettsidene. I følge hotellet var dette en skatt som alle turister i Pula måtte betale hvis de skulle overnatte. Denne skatten var svært lav og var slik sett ikke noe stort problem, bortsett fra at jeg liker svært dårlig å få overaskende utgifter når jeg trodde alt var betalt for. "Attention au lieu..."
Nous ne nous attendions pas du tout à cela: l'hôtel est situé dans un gigantesque centre avec d'autres hôtels. C'est une sorte d'immense résidence pour touristes. Ce type d'endroit est, certes, très bien pour des familles qui veulent "vivre" à l'hôtel pendant le séjour (piscine etc.). Nous avions un appartement/studio, où la carte magnétique pour ouvrir […] la porte était très capricieuse (finalement, nous avons eu une bonne vieille clé après avoir attendu des interventions à plusieurs reprises). A noter -- c'est la première fois que cela nous arrive -- la présence d'un cafard dans la chambre. Le lieu a souvent été très bruyant: les règles de l'hôtel disent qu'à partir de 10:00 le bruit n'est pas toléré, mais cette règle a été copieusement enfreinte pendant notre séjour. "Hienot vedet"
Muuten hyvä, mutta lisämaksusta joka tuli suorittaa jokaisesta yövytystä yöstä ei mainittu. Lisäksi hotellihuoneen alapuolella tehtiin remonttia, jota ei tosiaan mainittu missään, eli hotellissa ei saanut olla rauhassa tai nukkua rauhassa.
