On arrival I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite, and it was a very nice room. Lots of space, comfy bed. The free minibar was a nice touch and the morning breakfast buffet while small has enough! I booked 3 nights at this hotel, thinking it would be run of the mill. I was impressed by the layout of the room, after having gotten bumped up due to them being filled up. I liked the fact that there was a full kitchen, dining area, couch to entertain if necessary, all separate from the sleeping quarters. I was impressed with the design of the place, […] although some folks would consider the design a bit overly masculine (lots of black and glass). Being a man, I suppose that is why it didn't matter to me; but it was done in a tasteful manner. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The only drawback was that some renovations were being done, but surprisingly there was little or no interruption to my day. The Mercer was not a bad stay -- my room was large with a nice sitting area -- and the staff was attentive. that said, the bathroom wasn't as clean as expected and I saw two beetles in my room during my 2 night stay. The gym and pool are also very small and the hallways are sweltering hot. Not terrible for the money, but not the ideal stay.

There is no real restaurant in the hotel, only a breakfast room serving a passable continental style breakfast. However, there are many restaurants, western and local, in the surrounding area; so get out of the hotel and explore. This hotel was a bit of an unknown when I booked it since it had not been reviewed by anyone yet, due to its newness. But I booked it for its affordable (for Hong Kong) price and great location in Central Hong Kong. It was a wonderful surprise to find it lived up to its pictures and more. The room was small but perfectly executed- from the bed & pillows […] (four!) being very comfortable, to the huge tv, clever flip out ironing board in the closet and very user-friendly work area (free wifi in room, and a universal outlet/plug adapter in the built in wire-housing flap on the desk). They deliver breakfast (your choice from a menu of continental breakfast items) to your room each day exactly at the time you request- my croissants were always warm, the excellent coffee hot (though I would wish for a full pot rather than just one mug of it) and I am pretty sure the OJ was fresh-squeezed. They have a free shuttle from the Airport Express train station (white bus/van down next to taxi stand). The location was perfect- I could walk three blocks to The Center (the really tall office building in central Hong Kong) and the shops and such in that area as well. The staff was also very helpful and spoke fairly good English. Compared to the other hotels in the area (posh five stars) I would, especially for the price, book this again in a heart beat. The Mercer boutique hotel was great for a 6 night business stay - my office and all other attractions in central were a 10 minute walk away. The closest station was Shuen Wan but Central was also close making getting around the rest of Hong Kong and Kowloon really easy. Lots of food options nearby and also a couple of decent bars right outside the hotel. […] The room was large by HK standards and had a fresh feeling as the hotel is quite new. The bathroom was large. Comfortable rooms overall. Free breakfast was served each am with a good selection of continental and oriental choices. This was definitely a good thing to have at the hotel. 全般的には洗練されていて不満はないのですが写真などから判断していた割と豪華なイメージとは若干違っていました。香港のホテル全般的に言えることかもしれませんがコストパフォーマンス敵にはイマイチかもしれません。ただしとても清潔だし設備もTV2台や備品など何の不満もありません。地下鉄の駅からも歩いてすぐだし立地的にも有利でした。ビジネスでの利用なら必要十分です。
