Cheap and convenient, North Point is a busy Chinese neighborhood of apartments and commerce, where the MTR (subway), ferry, tram, and buses converge. "Good place to lay your weary head."
Normally while travelling I stay in hostels or the cheapest hotels that I feel will be clean and accomplish what I need for a place to sleep. I was meeting my wife in Hong Kong and thought this would be worth the extra money. It definitely was. I enjoyed the room, the view, and the staff was wonderful. I felt at ease asking for anything I might need […] while there. The MTR is only about 2 blocks away which makes for very easy access to the rest of the city and is definitely a much better option than the taxis. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellente hotel at a reasonable rate"
The staff is extremly service oriented, rooms as all homg kong are small, but they lack none, i was offered an upgrade to a super room after two day stay and i was so comfortable in the room i was, i declined. The only thing i did not like is the 20 usd charge per day for wi fi access. Metro, starbucks, sushi, supermarket, all at no more than a block […] distance Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Hotel, Good value"
Went to HK with my wife for 4 days for a wedding, and stayed the whole time in the Harbour Grand. I was pleased to discover that there was a (free) shuttle bus from Hong Kong station to the hotel. The hotel itself was great: pleasant and attentive staff, beautiful rooms with good details (e.g: universal power converter in the room), a really amazing […] sky bar with a nice view of the city. There was also a well equipped gym: some dumbells, 3 weight machines, and a bunch of cardio machines. The location was pretty good too next to Fortress Hill MTR, a cheap ride to central and Kowloon. I did not eat in the hotel restaurant, but the American in me was happy to find two Starbucks within 5 minutes walk distance from the hotel. Overall good bang for the buck for an upscale hotel. "Amazing Hotel"
I love this hotel! The staff at the front desk were warm and friendly. I received a complimentary upgrade upon check in, and they even allowed me to check in early. The only downfall was the pool was still closed and is not due to open until August 2012. I have been told this was due to a massive fire that occurred in May 2012. The MTR station is a […] five minute walk from the hotel, and there are several restaurants in the area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This hotel is a close walk to the nearest metro stop, although a bit far from the hubub of DT Hong Kong. Beautiful hotel (lobby, meeting space, restaurants) and very cool room. "Pleasant stay"
Stayed in Hong Kong during new year, fun city! Hong Kong is difinitely very convenient for tourist, the signs and directions are very clear. The hotel service is great, but for the price i paid for, i think this is what i should get . And you have 12 choices of scented pillows or pillows that says can help you sleep better or good for your back and […] neck....very interesting, we chose no 7 and no 12 on the pillow list, but forgot to ask them which one is which, so we trying to smell the difference, but...they smell like the same...oh well, we did sleep very well tho. Also this hotel, has a airport shuttle bus from and to the airport, only HKD$150 per person, but if you are travelled more than one, definitely get a taxi, its only around HKD$350 from the hotel to airport. Hong Kong island, this side is less tourist, the area near the hotel is very quiet, not much going on; unlike kowloon; also, being very close to the Metro station is a big plus!! Overall, a very pleasant stay! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent service and very nice room"
We enjoyed our stay because the service was excellent and the rooms very comfortable. The beds were the best during our entire stay abroad. The hotel is not in the main tourist areas but is close to the MTR and you can get anywhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Gorgeous Hotel with Beautiful Views"
The Harbor Grand was more beautiful than the website pics give it credit. A gorgeous lobby and rooms with amazing views of the harbor, downtown Hong Kong and Kowloon. The bar and restaurant on the top floor is incredible. Only word of caution is not to use the Grey Line tour service recommended by the concierge. We were very underwhelmed by the Kowloon […] tour and dinner cruise that the concierge enthusiastically recommended. Other than this, the Harbor Grande was absolutely perfect for our visit to Hong Kong. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Harbour Grand Hong Kong - Truly Grand"
My wife, 8-year old daughter and I absolutely LOVED this hotel. The room was clean, and suprisingly large for Hong Kong standards (enough room for a desk to work on and a rollaway bed for my daughter to sleep in). The lobby is stunning, the cafe restaurant was great (albeit a bit pricey), room service was excellent, but most importantly the gym and […] the swimming pool were fabulous. We stayed for 10 nights, and used the swimming pool 9 of the 10 nights we were there (it's open until 9 pm and heated to 84 degrees). The hotel also arranged for us to have an early check-in (our flight from the US arrived in Hong Kong at 7:00 am and we were in our room by 11:00 am) and a late check-out at 2:00 p.m. All-in-all, it was a great stay at a reasonable price by Hong Kong standards, and it had all of the ammenities that we were looking for. "luxury hotel close to public transport"
The hotel is fabulous, but does the standard high end hotel kind of stuff..... charges exorbitant rates for 24 hour internet access, high cost for breakfast buffet etc. But the room and bathroom are exquisite (careful - the bathroom in my room was separated from the main area only by glass. There is no way of having privacy when using the toilet if […] there are two of you in the room, unless the other person actually leaves the room.). There are surprisingly few TV channels - about 40, of which only a handful have English language programming, none of which are a movie channel. Traveling on business alone as I do a lot in Asia, I am often in the room after dinner and want to relax by watching TV, but that wasn't so easy her. Though the hotel is very high end, the immediate neighborhood is very low end. But it' feels perfectly safe. The location is also way away from the typical areas in Hong Kong that a visitor or business person might want to visit, but the MTR station is two very short blocks away so it's not really a problem. For cheaper internet access or breakfast coffee you will find several Starbucks lined up on the surrounding streets, just a minute or two away from the hotel. The hotel did not list them in the printed sheet that shows the immediate neighborhood, but they are there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location and great service"
We decided to upgrade to the Harbor Club package which seems to be well worth the money. We had breakfast on the 41st floor executive lounge. The afternoon tea time and cocktail hours were great. After two nights though, we started to get tired of the food. Maybe, we were really spoiled. If you take a taxi to the hotel, make sure that the taxi driver […] knows where he is going. We got dropped off at a wrong hotel which has a similar name. That was the only frustration. We found out later that it happened frequently. We would definitely return to the hotel if we have a chance to go back to Hong Kong. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Harbour Grand Hong Kong - Excellent place to stay"
The hotel seemed to be one of those gigantic super hotels seen all over Hong Kong, but staying on the Harbour Club level allowed for quite personalized service. "Not to be missed"
This is a 'not to be missed' hotel. Slightly out of the way but only a 2-minute walk to the MTR and Island trams. Try and get on the Club Floors (33-40) and you get breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktail hour in the Club Lounge on the 41st floor. Free internet access and wireless access in the Club Lounge too. We weren't told this prior to arriving, […] only that wireless access was available in our room at a cost. However, the hotel was fantastic and we loved it. Room service (we only used it to obtain ice) was very quick and the system of lights which told staff we were not to be disturbed or make up our room was very impressive. The lifts were a bit slow in coming, but as we were on holiday there was no rush to get up or down. The immediate area is not too flash, but it's all a bit of fun anyway. A bit of construction work going on right below the hotel (no noise) which is fascinating to watch - land extension into the harbour. The chandeliers in the foyer are stunning - and the staff everywhere were smiling and helpful. Recommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great value"
I travel five or six times a year to Hong Kong, en route to Shenzhen. I've stayed in many different hotels in many parts of Hong Kong. The Harbour Grand is one of my favorites because, for what I feel is important, it offers one of the best overall values I can find. The rooms themselves are nice enough, clean and quiet with a good TV and comfortable […] bed. The gym has several newer treadmills, some weights and other cardio equipment- it's above average. The location is just a little outside of the center of things, but it's only a couple of blocks from the metro so this has never been an issue for me. There are also a number of restaurants nearby. It is not the nicest hotel I've stayed at, but it is very good, and usually costs quite a bit less than many other comparable hotels with a slightly better location. excellent new hotel in slightly out of the way location. Great views if you get them- we have stayed 4 times now and very reliable all over. Price can be very competitive sometimes so look for best deals. HK has many good hotels so competition is fierce.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We like to stay in town while we are working at the AWE. The Harbour Grand is a very beautiful hotel. The rooms are rather small which is typical of HK hotels, but the glass walls between the room and the bathroom and the bathroom and the shower/tub area really helps open up the room. Plus it is very unique. We chose the less expensive view room, and […] the bay view was still very nice. At over 40 floors, the 6 elevators were a little slow at arriving. Even though the foyer was large and beautiful, it seemed to feel cold without any comfortable seating area to relax and read a newspaper while waiting. Lastly, the hotel was not close to downtown shopping and the market place. You must catch a taxi or the Fortress Hill MTR, which was close, to do anything. I hope to not be too critical, for the hotel is very nice, and I would recommend it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Amazing, gorgeous, perfect location"
This hotel was an amazing experience. First of all, it was very easy to get to (right near the subway stop) and in the perfect location right on the harbor. It is also gorgeous; With giant chandeliers, incredibly architecture and a wonderful view. We got upgraded from a delux to a superior room and I would highly recommend it. Both rooms were a great […] deal and looked really nice, but the superior room had a huge bathroom with an amazing shower that made you feel like you were in a rainforest every time you used it. The staff were also very nice. I had a snag with my credit card because of "irregular activity" due to using it outside of the US and they were very patient and helpful in resolving it. The quality of the hotel was wonderful. Service was efficient and I think up to par of a 4 Star Hotel. My room was impeccable and the view was wonderful. "beautiful hotel"
This hotel is beautiful, and with terrific ammenities. However, it was the staff who made the stay unforgettable. It is also conveniently located 1 block from a subway stop, though when I needed a taxi, there were usually 2-4 staff hailing one for me. The upgrade to the premier room was well worth it as I had plenty of space, a rarity in Hong Kong. […] I also enjoyed the circular tub with the rain shower head on a daily basis. I was in Hong Kong for a day and wanted an accessible hotel with a great view. I got it, 2 min from subway and incredible views of Hong Kong Harbour. "Great hotel for all types of traveller"
The Harbour Grand is an excellent hotel with good amenities. It's well located being close to an MTR station, the tram line and buses but just out of the main areas to be a little bit quieter. We wanted to include breakfast and the option we selected also included Club Membership which was a real bonus. This included access to the Club Room on the top […] floor where there was tea/coffee/soft drinks all day, internet access, afternoon tea, cocktails and a separate checking in area on arrival and departure. Great hotel in a good location, close to the metro. We were given a free upgrade and were very happy with our spacious (by Hong Kong standards) room with panoramic views of the harbour. Staff were brilliant, too. Beware of the very expensive restaurants and bar - 2 cocktails cost £20, for example. The hotel is really nice, great view for the room, rooms are big, bathroom is super nice, fantastic breakfast. "Great view and location"
Grand Harbour is a great hotel and have now stayed here 3 times. The hotel is cvery close to the MTR (North Point) station and has a number of convenient stores and restaurants located within skipping step. The buffet breakfast is the best out of any hotel I've been around the world although quite expensive. If you can get this packaged with your room […] its well worth it. The hotel is relatively new, so the rooms and showers are clean and shiny. Only draw back is no free wifi and the business centre is expensive. "Gorgeous hotel, room and wonderful staff if slightly out of the way"
I had an absolutely wonderful, if extremely short stay at this hotel. The lobby was beautiful and check in was painless. I received a free upgrade and found myself in a wonderful room with a balcony and jacuzzi. The place was spotlessly clean and full of added extras and has a great finish. The views were breathtaking from the room and even more so […] from the breakfast area. The breakfast was wonderful with more options then you could imagine and one morning was certainly not enough to enjoy everything that was available. The staff were lovely; at check in, breakfast and the concierge. The only downside has to be that it is slightly out of the way. A taxi will be required if you are alone or do not know the area. I did not feel comfortable in the area being a female alone but that isn't to sat that it isn't safe, it may well be. Lone travellers should take the same precautions they would on any other holiday.
