The hotel is located just off Hollywood Road and there are lots of shops, restaurants, bars, fresh food markets, etc., within easy walking distance. Room was nicely decorated, modern, and clean -- nice shower. Staff was courteous and prompt. "good for the price"
Hong Kong is not a cheap place to stay; I have stayed at several places in the past have determined this hotel to be a good place to stay based on price and location. All rooms are small in HK; this hotel is no different. Staff was generally very helpful and accommodating... the first day we were there, we had an issue with the bath tub draining slowly. […] I informed the staff and they fixed it right away and followed up to see if it had been addressed correctly. "Great boutique hotel"
This hotel is really great for many reasons: perfect location for subways, shopping, restaurants and bars; quiet rooms; small business center for emailing; and a really nice, helpful staff. There were a few slightly negative sides to our stay, but given the positives, I would still go back. The rooms were clean, but I like my hotels REALLY clean, and […] noticed that the shower tiles in the corner could have been scrubbed or bleached a bit more. We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of May which is the start of HK's humid months and we found the room difficult to de-humidfy. We felt damp a lot of the times. Avoid the 7th Floor restaurant for breakfast - it is really expensive for what you can get elsewhere. The coffee is quite good though, but pricey. We paid extra to stay on one of the top floors (30th) with harbor views, which I think was worth it. But I'm pretty sure you can get some harbor views down lower as well. "Best Location in Hong Kong"
We had a great four-night stay at the Lan Kwai Fong Hotel. The location is superb, on Hong Kong Island near the old Chinese area. It's close to markets, dozens of restaurants, shopping, antiquing on Hollywood Road, the mid-levels escalator, and lots of nightlife. It's a $3 cab ride from the Airport Express station. The rooms of this boutique hotel are very pretty & the staff are helpful & speak english. The hotel is very conveniently located - 5 minutes walk to the Central-Mid levels escalators, 10 minutes to Lang Kwai Fong & 15 minutes walk to the Harbour & MTR. We had a lovely 3 day stay here. Location, location, location, and free airport express train shuttle (must make reservation in advance). Small bathroom as expected of HK hotels. "Tiny room"
The room is very small and uncomfortable. Eventhough we had requested a non-smoking room , we have been given a smoking room and it stinks. We were given a room for disabled perons with a large bathroom room with a very very small sleeping area that you can only open your luggages on your bed!
