Considered the central business district, Central is home to the corporate headquarters of multinational financial services, consulates-general, and Hong Kong government and administrative offices. The area is also a major transport hub for buses, trains, trams, and ferries. Head to Hollywood Road for antiques and trinkets, and Soho for bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and galleries.

"Good hotel for the price"
We had a hard time finding the enterance. Nice 4 th floor complementary coffee, water and wifi area. Room small but very combat with everything you need. Could walk to a lot of restaurants and shops.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable and great location."
Walking distance to both Sheung Wan and Central MTR stations as well as Lan Kwai Fong and the Mid-Levels Escalator. Also nearby is a Pacific Coffee, Man Mo Temple, and the Cat Street markets. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Yes it is small, a little shocking at first if you haven't been to Hong Kong before, but it is Hong Kong, tight […] on space. Overall a great hotel for the price and I would stay here again next time I'm in town. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close enough to the action"
I have stayed in many hotels in Central but prefer this one for location as it is close enogh to walk to anything yet set back enough for a degree of solitude. Small room (avg for HK) but scale, cleanliness and service help up the satisfactionGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Boutique hotel close to SoHo"
The Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is a boutique style hotel with a minimalistic lobby used for check-in/ check-out. All the rooms & small gym are on upper floors. The decor is Asian style with a simple shower (only) and a double bed. We requested views of the Causeway Bay and received a fairly decent view blocked only by a a couple of buildings. Enough to see […] ships come/go and the evening lights. The staff handles English very well and provide great recommendations for area restaurants and shopping. The hotel is located on the hilly side of Hong Kong Central district so expect to be going up/ down when visiting nearby stores, etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the business traveler."
Good value for HK. Location is convenient (short walk) to MTR and Lan Kwai Fong. Rooms are tiny but otherwise fine. Everything was clean, staff are helpful. No complaints. As a business traveler, I've stayed here many times. Didn't try the restaurant.Genuine Expedia guest review

"centrally located business hotel"
nice, centrally located chinese style hotel. Many of our Hong Kong clients knew the hotel. Very friendly staff. Soho and Lan Kwai Fong within walking distance - there are various restaurants, bars etc. We easily found a tiny, very good restaurant. The only negative thing was the Lobby: it is an open-air terrace on the 4th floor with self service coffee/tea […] facility. Quite nicely done -but for meeting clients not always optimal - we had construction work going on next "door", so it was very loud and noisy in this "lobby". Rooms tiny but clean and equipped with everything you need as a business traveller. wifi not complimentary... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfy hotel on Hong Kong Island!"
This hotel is in a great location for exploring the Hong Kong Island area of Hong Kong as well as riding the subway to the Kowloon area. The staff were very helpful when we needed suggestions about places to visit and how to get there. We especially appreciated the fresh fruit and bottle of wine that were complementary in our room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, nice (if small) room"
The hotel is located just off Hollywood Road and there are lots of shops, restaurants, bars, fresh food markets, etc., within easy walking distance. Room was nicely decorated, modern, and clean -- nice shower. Staff was courteous and prompt. There is a community room on 4th floor with hot/cold beverages and free WIFI -- a nice place to hang out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice boutique hotel"
Very nice hotel. It is a boutique hotel located very near LKF and SoHo, so lots to do and see within walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value hotel."
Boutique high rise hotel. LImited view of harbour due to intervening skyscrapers. Access via car is somewhat difficult because of one way street traffic in Hong Kong. Rooms are small but quaint. Great for business traveler.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel in great location"
Well priced hotel very close to the centre of town and walking distance to soho and lkf. while the rooms are small, they are comfortable and nicely furnished with an asian twist. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a city hotel in HKG.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good for the price"
Hong Kong is not a cheap place to stay; I have stayed at several places in the past have determined this hotel to be a good place to stay based on price and location. All rooms are small in HK; this hotel is no different. Staff was generally very helpful and accommodating... the first day we were there, we had an issue with the bath tub draining slowly. […] I informed the staff and they fixed it right away and followed up to see if it had been addressed correctly. I do question why they use tubs; I think i would have liked to see a standing only shower but, not that big of a deal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent priced hotel in best area of town!"
Rooms are small, but that is expected in Hong Kong. Clean, comfortable, and is located in the best part of town. Walking distance to night life of LFK and SOHO and easily walkable in 10 minutes from AirportExpress & Central station. "TINY Room, great location."
This hotel has TINY rooms. It can be difficult for two people to move around while getting ready. The bathroom can only fit one person at a time. The location could not be better - walking distance to most places in the heart of the restaurant and bar district. Our king- sized bed was two twin beds pushed together but made up separately. They never […] made it up as one bed our entire stay even after asking. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"LKF hotel"
The hotel was excellent very posh, excellent location 1 block from mid levels 3 blocks from LKF convenient to everything! The room was nice the only drawback is that it is a small room but really unless you're sleeping you shouldn't be spending a lot of time there anyways loved the window benches. Overall great hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location...Great price."
I booked this location to do some sightseeing after many years, and I can honestly say that for the price you pay, it's a great deal. The rooms are clean. The views are great. And the location is very convenient for walking. Within minutes there are great bars, restaurants, shops and the MTR stations. The only thing that one must be clear about is […] to ensure you are clear that you are going to Lan Kwai Fong Hotel, NOT LKF. The first taxi took us to the wrong hotel, and walking between them was quite tricky. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lan Kwai Fong Hotel - Hip location"
While the hotel may have renovated rooms, mine was not and was clean but stylistically seedy / old world. "Lan Kwai Fong -- friendly service"
This hotel had a great location and the service staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Appreciated the free shuttle service to/from the airport express train. "Best loction hotel in HK"
Perfect location and neighborhood, mix of new and old HK shops and restaurants, very close to subways station. Room is clean and comfortable but bathroom is extremely small and toilet paper was a bit rough. The view from room was magnificent (31st floor). Wifi is a supplement, pretty standard, but still upsetting in view of the room price.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good deal"
This is a great hotel for the price, especially because most hotels in the central city area are super expensive... Location: very close (10m walk) to the Central subway station, which includes Airport Express and a couple other major lines. There is also a hotel shuttle that takes you to the airport train station for free. Also close to some major […] tourist attractions like Victoria Peak Tram and Lan Kwai Fong, which is misleading because the hotel is NOT actually in Lan Kwai Fong as the name suggests. Neighborhood: Not the best... kind of dirty with a lot of street vendors and litter, but seems safe enough. If you walk toward town for 5 mins it gets nicer. Lots of eateries and city-life buzz nearby. Lobby: free wifi which is nice. Not in the rooms though. Overall kept pretty clean, had no issues with that. The staff are very nice and most speak english well enough to answer basic questions. Rooms: small but very good for asian standards. Big enough to walk around without tripping on your suitcase (which is usually what I experience in most European and Asian hotels). The decor is very nice, they go for kind of a modern/trendy-oriental look. There's a safe in the room. Gym: clean but small with couple of treadmills, all-in-one weight machine, some free weights. Enough for a short stay. Never saw anyone else in there so I'm sure the machines are always available. Thinks there's also a restaurant but never went, with all the cheap eateries available in the area. Overall, had a good stay and would return, though it's more for people who are looking for a comfortable stay for a good deal. If you're looking for a high-quality hotel where you'll be pampered, there are tons to choose from in hong kong. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location in the heart of Hong Kong night life"
The location couldn't be better to hang out at night in Lan Kwai Fong or SOHO. Also just down the street from Hollywood Road and the antique and art galleries. We bought antiques during the day and partied at night! The room was very nice with city and harbour views. Nice, cool decoration, Comfortable bed. I only downgraded the rating for maintenance […] and cleanliness becasue the door handle fell off the bathroom door and the maid forgot to replace the used fork from the fruit bowl (that was complimentary) one day ... but those are minor things. Basically very clean, which is important. The rain shower head is for midgets (I'm 192 cm, so it could work for others). The service wasn't the usual gushing Asian service I've come to expect from staying at top business hotels all over Asia, but it was nice to be in a boutque hotel that didn't remind me of business and the service efficient and not unfriendly. I'm back there my next long weekend in HK. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Located in the heart of Hong Kong's night scene it is perfec for both business and pleasure. Not too far from the subway and shopping malls but lots of great bars and restaurants. Kind of boutique hotel and a little too expensive.Genuine Expedia guest review

"One of the best hotels in HK"
This hotel is very conveniently located in the LKF district, one of the best in HK for dinners and bars and nightlife. It's also very well connected to anywhere else in HK, and taxis are easy to find. Definitively recommended.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Will return to this hotel on my next visit"
The location is excellent, the rooms are a little small, but still very efficient. The hotel staff were not as knowledgable as expected but still very firendly and helpful. "Nice boutique hotel in Hong Kong."
We stayed here for two nights and it was a pleasant experience. They provide free shuttle pick up from / to Hong Kong Central station. Within 10 minutes walk to the nearest MTR station, but we got lost in our first attempt because of the way the hotel is situated, I wish they had provided us with "turn-by-turn" walking direction cheat sheet to the MTR […] station. We love the beautiful oriental-styled decoration of the room, the size was comfortable enough for the two us to move around, it has big windows with beautiful view of the harbor from 30th floor. "Lan Kwai Fong Hotel - well situated in HK Central"
The Lan Kwai Fong Hotel provides a convenient and reasonably priced place to stay in Hong Kong Central District (on the island) from where it is a short walk to many places the visitor will want to explore. "Great boutique hotel"
This hotel is really great for many reasons: perfect location for subways, shopping, restaurants and bars; quiet rooms; small business center for emailing; and a really nice, helpful staff. There were a few slightly negative sides to our stay, but given the positives, I would still go back. The rooms were clean, but I like my hotels REALLY clean, and […] noticed that the shower tiles in the corner could have been scrubbed or bleached a bit more. We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of May which is the start of HK's humid months and we found the room difficult to de-humidfy. We felt damp a lot of the times. Avoid the 7th Floor restaurant for breakfast - it is really expensive for what you can get elsewhere. The coffee is quite good though, but pricey. We paid extra to stay on one of the top floors (30th) with harbor views, which I think was worth it. But I'm pretty sure you can get some harbor views down lower as well. "Real Hong Kong right on your doorstep"
The nearby street markets and Chinese art shops make this one of the most authentically Asian areas. The hotel is close to all major attractions and transport, but it's the atmosphere that makes it special.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, some things could be improved"
The area is great for restaurants, bars and shopping. It's also easy to walk to Central from here. The bathrooms could do with updating and the staff could be a bit friendlier, but the main problem I had was the outdated approach to internet. Having to pay for internet in my room is not something I've come across for a long time, and the free access […] in public areas was rubbish using mobile devices. "Great Location, Slightly Outdated Decor"
Overall, if you're going for location, this is a fantastic place to stay. It is literally 2 mins away from the Sheung Wan stop on Hong Kong Island and within walking distance to Central, Soho and LKF. Definitely very convenient. The rooms are on the small side, but I guess that is fairly standard in HK. The decor is a little dated and scuffing in some […] places, but on the whole, you are getting value for money. The staff are very pleasant and definitely try their best to make your stay comfortable... overall, I would return for the location! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
