Probably the best thing about this hotel was the fantastic view of the Acropolis from our balcony. The room is pretty modern-looking in terms of room decorations, but cleanliness is lacking just a tad. It's convenient to get to from Monastiraki metro station, and very easy to walk to the major sights of historical Athens. The hotel was close to the metro and was also close to one of the hop-on/hop-off tour bus stops. Though some, especially Americans who may not be used to Europe, might think the neighborhood is "seedy", it really isn't. This was a very nice hotel. The room was very clean and modern, and I was ABSOLUTELY in love with the bathroom. The roof garden was really cool too, since you could see the Acropolis from there. Very friendly employees, even walked my suitcase [sent late from airline/delayed] up to my room. Hotel is located very near Restaurants, Railway Stations and a Square. Hotel staff very helpful, even gave us the choice of 2 rooms. Having breakfasts included was a great bonus. Found this hotel was perfectly located and the rooftop views are excellent. Walked to all the usual tourist attractions and museums-nothing further than a km in any direction. Metro is 350m away so easy to get to airport but watch for pickpockets. We loved staying here. Its hard to find at first if you don't know the area we once lived not far away so knew of the hotel but if you don't no the area get a very detailed map. I stayed at the Arion for one night and it was a perfect stay in every way. The balcony of the room (6th floor) was incredible, with unobstructed views of the Acropolis! The room and the lobby areas were tidy and inviting, and the hotel staff (especially Alfredo) could not have been more accommodating, recommending the best route for seeing the important […] sights in the short time I had in Athens and nice places to eat. The neighbourhood (Psiri) is also very interesting, and I don't mean this is a negative way. Don't be mislead by the graffiti: Psiri is home to some wonderful restaurants and an active art scene, as well as being very close to the street markets of Omonia. It may have an edgy aesthetic, but as 27-year-old female, travelling on my own, and I felt perfectly safe in this neighbourhood, indeed safer than I did when walking around the more tourist-y areas. Nice opportunity to be very close to the centre, with easy access to the airport, but to be in area less populated by tourists. Read more

Passer perfekt for de som skal se bla Akropolis. Det var gangavstand til alle severdigheter. Hotellet var relativt nyoppusset og et av de bedre storbyhotell jeg har bodd på til en hyggelig pris. Området rundt var ikke så vakkert, men det var bare noen hundre meter til turistområdene. Kan absolutt anbefales.

Hotel Arion levede fuldt op til mine forventninger og lidt til. Især havde jeg stor fornøjelse af tagterrassen med direkte udsigt til Akropolis, når jeg var tilbage på hotellet for at slappe af. Personalet var venligt og imødekommende. Morgenmadsoplægget fint. Beliggenheden var i kvarter med lokal kolorit og kun 5 min. gang fra metrostation Monestraki […] og de farverige handelsgader. Blot 1-2 min. gang til højre for hotellet startede et stort udbud af cafeer og restauranter. Akropolis og de omliggende historiske seværdighede var indenfor gåafstand. Read more

Vi bodde på Arion en uke i mai 2010. Vi vlagte Arion ut fra beliggenhet i forhold til de historiske stedene Akropolis, Plaka m/fl. Vi kom til et nyrenovert og veldrevet hotell. Hotellet er lite, men svært koselig, oversiktlig med god service i resepsjonen. Frokosten var delikat tilrettelagt i restauranten. Hotellet har aircondition og gratis internett-tilgang. […] Rommet vårt - 606 - var et dobbeltrom med et herlig bad og stor balkong med utsikt mot Akropolis - og gratis safe!
