Near Syntagma Square, home to the Greek Parliament, Athens’ most expensive residential quarter is the domain of wealthy Greeks and foreign embassy staff. Glamorous socialites frequent the fashionable bar-restaurants, chic boutiques and designer stores. A funicular serves the pine-clad slopes of Mount Lycabettus, and several of Athens’ top museums are within walking distance.

We had a quick overnight layover in Athens. The st George was ideal, we took a cab to the Acropolis and walked back to the hotel through Plaka before taking the tram up Lycobettus for dinner at Orizontes. The rooms we had looked out at the Acropolis and were perfect for an adult family of 5. Nice rooftop pool as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs Updating"
The hotel is old and tired. We had mold in our bathroom and the room hasn't been updated in 10 years. The TV set was older than I was. We did have a great view of the Accropolis but the noise from the restaurant/bar below us was really loud. This is no where near a 5 star hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
An excellent 360 degree view of Athens from the bar and restaurant on the top floor. A high quality hotel available on that day at a very reasonable price. As hills all around only suitable for the fit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel!"
My little brother and I needed to book a hotel right when we arrived in Greece. We saw this hotel and it was rated 5*. The hotel is on a hill and a good 15 min walk to shopping. About 5 mins to food. Take note this is on a hill so climbing back up is not exactly the best experience. The staff were friendly and we paid for an upgrade to a suite. The […] food was quite pricey so we opted for the local cuisine. The hotel is quite old but has its charm. Great stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
