"Disappointed"
Stayed here from 23 Dec 11 to 26 Dec 11 so disappointed.Our room was under so called reservations. Definitely didnt feel secure in the room, the lock was shabby and could easily be pryed open without too much effort. So in order to sleep with some sort of peace of mind we placed a chair against the door. Also the food on a scale from 1-10 was negative […] 2. Other reviews said the food was good, don't know what they had because if it was anything apetizing it didnt come from this place. We ordered a total of three times foolishly hoping that the next order would be better then the last. It was disappointing each time. Also the breakfast that the hotel offers is not worth the 14 euros they charge, it really should be free. "Broken AC / Poor Service"
AC did not work in room. Spoke with reception - was told we can change rooms but only with two single beds as the other rooms were booked for the one night we stayed. "Novotel Athens..four star.. you got to be kidding"
This is probably the worst recommendation from Expedia ever. Here I was boasting to my friends how Expedia never gets it wrong and I land up at this hotel. This is not a family friendly hotel. The bathroom and toilet is small; it has no locks on it. Very small room and were given a double bed and sofa bed for kids. Once the Sofa bed was laid out no […] space for anything else. All out luggage had to be piled up in the corner of the room. No wardrobe space; no bell boys; we have to haul our luggage up. Their idea of play area is a small corner in the lobby of the hotel. Video Game place is also there but that is in front of the doors to the hotel. Even for a business hotel this is pathetic. They don't have a printer in the business center. Area that the hotel is located is also not so good. After dark; lots of guys hanging around the hotel. Some of the staff were really helpful and nice some I thought were racist. Located in the middle of red light district, not advisable to go out after dark. Grafiti every where. Not nice. Food average, pool small and shallow 0.5m at on end. The neighbourhood is dirty and not safe. The hotel staff were cold. The cleaner didn't change the sheets every day. The air condition was so old and undated. "Hotel m Mängel & Pannen,die nicht akzeptabel sind"
Wir können die guten Bewertungen, die das Hotel bisher größtenteils erhielt nicht bestätigen. Unser Zimmer hatte durch die außen am Haus angebrachte Lüftungsanlage ein störendes Brummen und Vibrieren der Wand und des Bettes. Nach Beanstandung war man allerdings sehr bemüht uns ein ruhiges Zimmer zu geben. Wir hatten ein 3-Bett-Zimmer gebucht, für 2 […] Personen waren nur Handtücher vorhanden, das Zustellbett mussten wir selbst herrichten. Der Teppichboden im Zimmer war extrem schmutzig und ekelig. Sehr erschreckend und unakzeptabel: beim Durchzippen der Fernsehprogramme in unserem Zimmer konnte man ungehindert 2 Blue Movie-Kanäle (Pornos) sehen, dass sicherlich nicht sehr kinderfreundlich ist - sorry war hier für mich nicht ausreichend. Die Dachterasse war sehr voll, hier gibt es meiner Meinung nach viel zu wenig Schattenplätze (z.B. in Form von Sonnenschirmen), so dass mir dann spätestens beim Sitzen auf der Treppe im Schatten der Appetit eines Cocktails (11,00 Euro!!!) vergangen ist, Badehandtücher sind vorhanden, die allerdings sehr kapputt sind. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe eines Viertels, dass Abends nicht sehr angenehm ist. Das Hotel ist sehr modern, ist allerdings von alten baufälligen Häusern umgeben und abendliche Spaziergänge sind nicht ratsam. Das Bett war ein Metallklappbett - naja. Familieværelserne er for små. Hotellet virker indvendigt velholdt, men ligger lidt for langt væk fra centrum, samt en del af kvarteret er belastede.
