"Cheap and cheerful"
The aircon was rubbish / not easy to tunr off. The room too cold at times (it was very cold outside) and the extractor fan in the bathroom did not function. Breakfast was a bit of a trial to find a table and they did not stock things up quickly. "Check non-smoking room is allocated when requested"
We had booked a non-smoking twin bedded room. On arrival we had been allocated a smoking room. We explained my husband is asthmatic so a non-smoking was important. We were told that booking on the internet meant we had booked a "standard room" and this could be smoking or non-smoking. We said we had not been aware of this, in fact we thought all hotels […] were non-smoking. We were then told that whether hotels offered smoking rooms was up to the hotel and the company we booked with, ie Experdia, should have informed us that we may be allocated a smoking room. Our booking form did show us as booked ina 2 bed, non-Smoking. It also said our request would be forwarded to the property but was not guaranteed. However we did not realise, nor were we told, that this meant we might end up in a smoking room. The hotel did eventually put us in a non-smoking disabled room which was ok but obviously geared to the needs of the disabled rather than able bodied. It would be nice if people booking rooms like this through Expedia were made aware this might happen because there are often medical reasons why a non-smoking room is requested. Chosen for location this is one of the older Holiday Inn Express Hotels, but was clean and the service good & welcoming. Very quiet- not a problem on a business trip although absolutely no atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. Good value, breakfast Ok for complimentary Cleaners need to pick up their game though- strange smell in room when I first entered- result mouldy cherries behind tv and even worse, an almost empty can of mushroom soup next to the bed legs!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The service in the hotel was poor/ slow customer service needs looked at, evening menu was poor it was a good job there was a restaurant over the road where we ate. Dit is natuurlijk geen tophotel, maar alleszins redelijk voor de prijs. Ontbijt is inclusief. Pay tv en internet zijn voor een schappelijke totaalprijs per 24 uur bij te boeken.
