The room was good except for the degree of heat that the radiators gave out. They were not adjustable and were too small to heat the room adequately.... Housekeeping was helpful but could do nothing about it, so maybe this hotel room, (room 108) was not a good place to stay in the dead of winter. The lighting was also poor as the windows were occluded to shut out the equipment that was outside the window. Housekeeping provided us with another lamp that helped a lot. The decor was good, main dining rooms, entry etc were impressive and the breakfast was great. by a Hotels.com guest on 03/23/11

I found the reception very effective and friendly. Handling a credit pre-approval was done professionally and efficiently. My room was on the first floor overlooking the central stairway. The sound from your walking on the floor enhanced the mod of the Victorian age of the hotel. The room had all the modern facilities, I would expect in a new hotel: […] TV, Pay TV, WiFI, Trouser press, Hairdriver, Tea-kettle, A big selection of magazines next to the bed, remote switch off of lights etc. I only had change to test the breakfast buffet, and also that was a pleasant experience.
