We stayed for just one night at the days inn weatherby, with our 2 young children, we had booked a family room at a very reasonable price and found the hotel very clean and the staff very helpful. "A Little "J Edgar" required......"
On putting away the fold out bed (not needed) it was evident it hadn't been cleaned underneath for a very long time. I suspect the fold out bed had been left more or less permanently out, hence the vacuum hadn't reached under it. Having said that a polite call to reception was acted on immediately when the receptionist himself turned up within seconds, […] Hoover in hand to clean up. As I have often said it’s not when things goes right you find out how good a hotel is it’s what happens when things go wrong, this man deserves nothing but praise. Lovely comfy room, larger than normal. Very nice bathroom with wet room. Everywhere was obviously recently built/ refurbished. We didnt stay for breakfast so can't comment but price was good. We asked reception to get us a taxi the next morning so we could go & pick up our car which we had left at a restaurant in Boston spa the previous evening. "great for a stop over, if away from reception"
stayed in room 1, which mean the door into reception area was right next to our room so there was a lot of noise around our room, at night from people coming in and again at breakfast. Also couldnt open the window as the smokers congrigated outside our room, which made us feel a bit like a goldfish bowl so we just closed the curtains. Maybe a designated […] smoking area away from the rooms on the other side of the main entrance would stop this happening to other guests. We weren't in the room much as we were attending a friends wedding in the area (so we did not ask to move rooms), the location, great discounted rate we got on expedia and general appearance of the hotel were all really good. Room just needed a bit of tlc with the cleaning in the bathroom and round the bed head. (luckly the dust only ended up on the bag the suit was in and not the suit itself.)
