"Great location for lake district activities"
3 star hotel with 5 star gym, pool and spa. Even teens love the outdoor jacuzzi. Breakfast is fantastic. Lots of nice restaurants in Ambleside. Nearby we did waterskiing, great fun even for us novices. Also 30 minutes away go-ape tree top climb great fun. Returned for relax in gym and spa. "Best Western, Ambleside, Lake District"
The location of this hotel is excellent. It is in the heart of Ambleside, a busy town in the lake district. There were lots of walks, pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was lovely. The staff are very helpful. We stayed in the Wansfell Lodge at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet and modern. […] Parking at the hotel is limited and spaces are small. We also availed of the spa onsite and again the staff were lovely and the treatments were very relaxing.
