Apex Waterloo Place Hotel is home to the Yu Spa, featuring a naturally lit indoor pool, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a sauna, and spa treatments (surcharge). Elliott's Restaurant and Bar serves modern Scottish cuisine with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea, and offers a children's menu. Room service is available 24 hours a day. This hotel is completely nonsmoking.

Guestrooms feature 42-inch LCD TVs with digital service including Sky Sports. Wireless Internet access and local calls are complimentary. Rooms also include coffee/tea makers, compact refrigerators, complimentary bottled water, and in-room safes. Large desks come with ergonomic chairs. Rooms are air-conditioned, and windows open. Guests are “greeted” by a sassy, mushroom-colored Apex rubber duck, which they can take home as a gift. Bathrooms offer bathtubs and/or walk-in power showers, along with luxury toiletries.

Located a short distance from all sights including Calton hill with excellent views of city. Easy walk from train station (we did it with our bags). 15 minute walk from Edinburgh Castle. "Pleasurable experience"
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a higher floor so that we could have a better view. Bed was so comfortable I could have stayed there and slept for 24 hrs, but we had to leave! Bathroom had a bath which was very welcome when most accommodation has very pokey bathrooms. Hotellet ligger svært godt plassert; like ved jernbanestasjonen, nesten Princes street og bare to minutters gange fra North Bridge - ypperlig. Når man velger det billigste rommet på et 4-stjerners hotell, kunne man ofte i stedet valgt et tre-stjerners... Men rommet var fint, badet hadde en fantastisk dusj - men hvorfor er det kjemisk renset for knagger […] til håndduker? Lekkert, men upraktisk... Atmosfæren på hotellets design er kjølig. Frokosten er dyr, i alle fall i forhold til buffetens utvalg. Vi valgte å spise på en restaurant like ved, der fikk vi 2 "full breakfast" for under ti pund.
