My first stay in a Ramada & I was expecting more. The room was no better than a Travelodge & not as good as many Premier Inn's I've stayed in. A very low, very soft bed which I didn't find very comfortable. Few amenities in the room. Very impressed with this Ramada Hotel! The staff went out of their way to help us and were very natural and friendly. The breakfast was incredible as, although it was buffet service, each of the foods were kept fresh and the stock replenished without fail. The dining area was very modern and was decorated well. "A quiet night's sleep yards from city centre buzz"
Very comfortable room. I liked that it had a full length french window so you could really get a good breeze in, which was great as the room was hot when I arrived. This hotel was lovely and quiet on a back street just a couple of mins from the main theatre and clubbing streets. It was a bit difficult to find though, and the window was difficult to […] close, so I've marked it down for those reasons. On the plus side there was a fresh coffee machine in the room as well as the usual facilities for tea and instant coffee. The ensuite shower room was immaculate, but the towels had seen better days, and the wall-fixed soap and shower gel bottles were difficult to squeeze. We got this hotel at a bargain price and you really could not get a better location, if you want shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. No car park - the "nearest" they recommended was Lime Street but actually the nearest (which I used) was the Mailbox car park - just a few hundred yards. 2. We enjoyed our very brief stay here; the hotel was ideally situated a short walk away from the O2 Academy Birmingham (our reason for visiting). It was also a stone's throw from New Street station, Birmingham's main shopping areas and of course, the Mailbox itself and all of its shops, bars and restaurants. The Ramada Wharfside did not come up on a borrowed sat-nav, although on our return journey home no problem. I had googled a map so was not lost completely. it would be appreciated if there were clearer signs for the hotel. Good location spoilt by a hard to locate reception, the street level entrance was locked for security (?) had to park in the service bay and drag case up stairs to reception which was hidden in a starbucks cafe. Hotellet ligger på bekvämt promenadavstnd från New street station ca: 10 min och man har Mailbox köpcentrum, pub- och restaurangområde liksom kanalerna precis in på knuten. Hotel Indigos toppvåningsrestaurang på 25:e våningen med bar är även inom 100 meters avstånd. Servicen var bra med extra inlevelese från receptionspersonal dock var dubbelsängen […] mkt mjuk och med ett täcke så får man vara mycket tålig för att kunna sova bra! Rummen mot gatan är mycket lyhörda och man hörde både bilar och folk på gatan (finns dock rum som är tysta enligt andra i vårt sällskap). Frukosten var ok men helhetsintrycket dras ned av att frukosten inte vara klar enligt utlovad tid den sista dagen vi åkte, då vi hade ett tåg att passa. Vi hann dock med tåget.
