"Poor hotel service"
I am normally not one to complain or write reviews, but this experience was very disappointing for a couple key reasons. 1) There was a loud party in the hotel that night. The bass was shaking some of the items on my wall. That and the music kept me up. I called reception and they said it would end at 12am. It did not end until 1am. I to wake up for […] my flight at 6 am 2) I mentioned this issue to the reception in the morning and they said a manager would contact me. They never did. 3) I found it very hard to find the hotel shuttle. "Would not recommend"
This hotel is about the same level of quality that you would expect from a roadside, highway hotel with. The noise level was unbelievable. I woke up every other hour, as the doors were not at all soundproof. There were holes and cracks all over my room. The front desk staff who checked us in was very unfriendly and unhelpful. "not close to airport"

Reasonable size bedrooms. Excellent bathrooms. Nice bar - but slightly expensive food and Room Service. Fantastic leisure facilities. Very good value breakfast buffet. Some of the foreign staff are difficult to communicate with - leading to a reduction in service. Expensive internet but very fast in your room. There is complementary Wi-Fi in the bar […] lounge. I always find paying for car parking in a hotel very annoying - but seems to be the modern trend. "Tastefully updated"

The Airport Shuttle is free but sometimes you have to wait over half an hour. Make sure you ring the hotel to tell them you are waiting. The staff were excellent as was the indoor pool. "We will definitely be back"
As a regular visitor to the NEC this was the best and most convenient hotel we have used. We don't get to use many of the hotel facilities because of long days, but this was a good experience. The food was good in both the bar and the restaurant. Breakfast was to expensive so we ate at the NEC. The only disappointment was the cleaning in the room. […] On the 1st day there were some toenail clippings beside the bed which were still there on day 4. We could have done without the overly familiar singer in the dining room even though his voice was very good. We wanted to eat and speak to our guest but were constantly pestered to take part in the entertainment. Be aware that there is a car park charge which wasn't apparent upon booking though considering this is an airport hotel it is to be expected. There was a wedding at the hotel on the Saturday night and we struggled to find a parking space even tough we had prepaid for each night. I would not have been happy had I not found a space. I expect that they charged the wedding guests to park as well as us. "My stay at Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport"
Let me immediately say that this hotel is not close to the International Airport. You have to take a shuttle and an airport train to reach the terminals. The International airport has several hotels just around it, and this is not one of them. My room was far from clean. I was easy to see that the person who lived there before me had very long black […] hair. Especially on the bathroom floor. The internet is quite expensive, 15 pounds per day (noon to noon), and then it is even slow. I ordered a fish & chips from the hotels bar, the worst I ever had. I wanted to buy some cigarettes and I walked for maybe 20 minutes or more to find a small shop. There is nothing around the hotel. I have to say that the staff was very kind, especially in the reception. I did not have a bad stay, but I will choose another hotel next time I'm going to Birmingham.
