Great Trethew Manor is set in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by 40 acres of beautiful gardens, woodlands and meadows. The only access is a delightful half mile drive.
Bordered with many lovely trees and shrubs. There are many woodland and garden walks which harbor a wide variety of wildlife.
Large character bar & restaurant
Inside the Manor we have a large character bar and restaurant with a beamed ceiling, flag toned floor and log fires when the evenings get chilly. The Restaurant with candle lit tables and roaring log fires in the winter offers an A La Carte Menu to suit everybody's taste as well as a Specials menu and bar snacks. We serve top quality food from the harbour, the farm and the game keepers larder.
Tastefully decorated
All guest rooms have been tastefully decorated and furnished with antique and old world furniture. You will not find two rooms alike at Great Trethew Manor. Our four poster rooms and superior double rooms all consist of a king-size or super-king bed with en-suite bath/shower over.

This relatively remote, wild upland area attracts walkers searching the highest points of Cornwall, namely the tors (rock outcrops) of Rough Tor and Brown Willy. The main settlements, Camelford and Liskeard ('lis-kard') are pleasant, sleepy towns. Visitor attractions include Bodmin Jail, Jamaica Inn (immortalised by Daphne du Maurier) and Lanhydrock House and gardens, one of the finest late 19th-century houses in England.

We had booked 2 'superior' double rooms and on arrival were told that only 1 was available but that we were lucky that the Bungalow was free and we would be able to have that at no extra cost. This was a bit of a joke as it was tatty and very dated accommodation with a very old bathroom, many lights not working and although there was a tired looking […] kitchen there was no tea/coffee or milk. We had booked the superior room for a king sized bed but ended up with just a double bed. The breakfast was quite good but overall we were a little disappointed.
