"Nice pub hotel"
Arrived fairly late & restaurant was shut, they recommended an excellent Indian. Room was large and a bit old school (floor slightly sloped due to age of building). Nise from pub finished at about 11:30, it wasn't very loud prior to that (even on a Saturday night)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This was the second time we have stayed here but probably not the last as we (my son and I) often race at the near by Lydd kart track. As before we were made to feel very welcome and the staff were very friendly. The room was big and the beds very comfortable. The only downside was the noise as we were above the bar but as I sleep with ear plugs and […] after a days karting my son could sleep through anything it wasn't too bad. Great Location. Friendly bar staff and breakfast waitress. There was a very well maintained beer Garden. The food was very reasonably priced and good value. Our room was noisy at night you could hear all the activity and music from below. (in hindsight to be fair maybe you should expect this when staying in a public house) There was no tourist information […] in the rooms and the propriertor did not offer any. The accomodation was not good at all it was very small and basic and the furniture looked like it came from the local charity shop nothing matched and it was very small. Part of the charm about this hotel is the fact that the hotel is old and none of the bedroom floors are level. Breakfast was filling which was just what was needed as we were walking.
