"Classic Marriott service"
Checked in at 1pm, needed laundry done, same day service only before 9am but I needed it that evening so the hotel made the necessary arrangements to oblige. "Nice hotel in the heart of the city."
Overall a very nice hotel where we enjoyed a lovely stay. We did have an issue checking in but this was soon remedied. I phoned ahead to make a dinner reservation but when I checked at reception the reservation hadn't been made. I wasn't offered a reason as to why but the staff were very apologetic and soon made another reservation. The room was lovely, […] clean and very functional, with a very comfy bed. Dinner was delicious and amazing value. We ate from the pre-theatre dinner menu, which was £15.50 for two courses or £21 for three courses. This menu is rather limited in choice but the food was superb and would thoroughly recommend. Public areas of the hotel are spotless (except for the ladies toilet that was in need of a clean) and all the staff seem to be happy in their work and as a result have a very good manner about them. We booked a buffet breakfast that like the dinner was superb. The hotel was very busy the night we stayed and the breakfast room was very busy but the staff dealt with all the guests in a very quick and efficient manner. There was every sort of breakfast food on offer and what we chose was very good. Worth a visit and if we can get it for the right price my wife and I would certainly go back. Whilst location is central our room overlooked the Watershed complex (only twin room available) and it was noisy all night particularly when the clubs / bars closed.
