I have stayed at Harpenden House Hotel on several occasions recently. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and I think they know me personally. It is not particularly cheap, but the hotel does not really have much competition in Harpenden. The location is good, as it is close to the main high street and also the train station. Disappointing - have stayed before, but this time very let down. Bathroom COLD, nowhere to dry towels and it smelt damp.
