"Good location"
Poor value for money. The room ( a single) is minute. I could not lay my suitcase down as it was then impossible to walk round it. The owner is very "regimental". I wasn't allowed in to the room until exactly 12.00. I left my case there, and walked around for an hour. Check out is at 10.00, which is a little early, and does not even give a full 24 hours. "Not my first choice"

"Ok but poor service"
I spent a night here in July with my boyfriend because I ran the Race for Life taking place on Sunday. At arrival the man was very kind and helped us to park the motorbike. The room was allright but the shower was outside and was very small and the toilet was in the third floor. I expected a great breakfast as they have a "breakfast award" showing in […] the entrance. The coffee was really bad and the rest was just ok. We asked the lady to let our stuff somewhere in the BB until the end of the race but she refused saying she was too busy in the kitchen. We couldn't talk to none else and all she suggested was to pay an extra night. We had to take our bags with us the whole morning and couldn't really enjoy the rest of the afternoon in Portsmouth. "Very clean, but...."
Firstly, there is no on-site parking and the surrounding roads are residential, so struggling with bags is a problem. Secondly, some of the rooms share toilets and shower facilities - very 1990s. Thirdly, breakfast is not served until 8 am, which means if you need an early start, you'll miss this (even though you paid for it).
