I really can't fault this hotel. I stay away a lot on business and have yet to come accross anywhere as good as this. As a woman travelling alone I was made to feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The owners are truly hospitable and have a fine eye for details - all sorts of little extras to make sure your stay is a real pleasure. My dinner was delicious and the surroundings were delightful. "Rare Excellence"
I have previously used the Clow Beck when on business trips in the North East and always regarded it as my little secret. Somewhere to get away from it all and have a proper bit of down time in excellent surroundings and with the most amenable of hosts. This time I used it for leisure purposes as I wanted to treat a friend of mine to a night of comfort […] as he is walking John O'Groats to Lands End. Suffice to say we were treated to exceptional hospitality, generous portions of proper home cooked food and a room where all needs have been catered for. He hit the road completely refreshed.
