for the 1st night I was given a cheap room which was in a smelly corridor. I did not want to stay in it another night & was shown another through a... labyrinth of passages that reeked of undefined smells, which I pointed out to the room clerk. I finally got the room at the front of the Hotel which was really beautiful. So the management should (1) smarten up the sub-standard cheaper rooms or (2) make the prices differences absolutely clear to the guest.(I would ahve expected since I smpent 1 nt in the smelly part NOT to have been charged extra for the new room. Of course for the nicer room I had to pay more. But that's not the point. If your hotel professes a certain standard the difference should not be that you get a room cheap in a smelly part of the hotel or pay more and stay in a non smelly part. I am an ex Hilton International Hotel Sales Director with world wide travel experiance & really KNOW what I'm on about. This should not happen. by John P from Swindon on 11/15/11
