Overall we had a nice stay. The housekeeping staff would never leave wash cloths in the room, so we had to call each day to request them. "Nice but clumsy"
This would be a great place if it were not for a couple of things. First, the bathroom arrangement is odd. The shower is big as a minute and every surface is hard and VERY slippery. Second, the technology used for television connections is nonfunctional. This is the first time in many trips where I could not watch movies I brought with me because of […] the strangeness. I have no clue what the problem was but their hotel staff was of no use. Lastly, like so many hotels, their for was good but much too expensive. The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel was a great success for me and my family during our European vacation. Its approx. 4 blocks away from the Tower Brigde. "A very nice hotel near the tower."
The hotel was new so the rooms were well equipped with wonderfully modern features. The location was very nice for our last few days of vacation. It was near the tower (clearly) and we were able to take a wonderful walk through downtown and then along the river to Westminster. When we arrived at the hotel, we found that they had not assigned us the proper sized room that we had booked. Instead of giving us two proper beds for our family as we had paid for, they gave us a bed and a smalllish pull-out sofa. When we questioned this, they did willingly change our room. The staff at the hotel is very friendly. They are just very young and inexperienced in general. For example, when we went to ask about our room, the young woman at the desk was very nice, but very unsure of how to handle the situation. She had to wait until a supervisor returned. An excellent experience, during a 2nd stay at the hotel. I am a huge fan of the Grange hotel range, chiefly because I do a lot of sport and the benefits of the gym quality and pool are superb. Reception appeared a little disorganised and although I booked a double and twin room. The twin wasn't available so given a superior room with a double and a sofa bed - which was ok but would have prefered twin proper beds.
