Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London

The positives of this hotel are it's convenient location to Westminster Abbey and other sights just over the bridge. It is also near to a number of small restaurants and pubs as well as just a couple blocks from the Waterloo station. It has a very nice pool. the rest of the spa also looked nice although I didn't use it. The Wifi was free. The negatives […] are that a "king" bed is really more of a Queen in the USA. The beds were foam but harder than I would have expected. And as is common in the UK there is no top sheet on the bed, just a comforter. That arrangement for me is too hot, so each day we had to ask for a top sheet on our bed. The room size was ok, but very very dark if you face the atrium. the shower was also quite small and they only gave us one tiny piece of soap so we had to keep asking for more. Read more

We picked this hotel for it's location and ability to sleep 3. We did not pay the premium price for a room with a view of Parliment and Big Ben. Glad we didn't since we in the room so little. Spent New Years 2013 in London. Choose Hotel for location to New Years Fireworks display at London Eye. Very Exceptional location for this purpose. For the rest of our stay we would have liked a Hotel closer to our interst in West End. But that geing said, Hotel was very enjoyable. Good for singles and families.

The light switches were a bit confusing and there were no 110 volt outlets available for recharging US devices. There also were no cost free electical adapters available to patrons. The hotel was quiet and very near central London which made walking to various venues easy.

Didn't get the room category I booked, was told I booked one thing, yet my Expedia confirmation printout cleared showed what I paid for. Employee at check-in was rude. We spent 9 nights at the Park Plaza Westminster and found it to be simply outstanding in every respect. The hotel is right on the other side of Westminster Bridge from the Westminster Tube station (and Big Ben) which could not be more convenient for travel. We arrived three hours earlier than normal check in time (2 pm) but our gracious reception clerk […] nonetheless provided us a room right away. We were celebrating my 50th birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary and the clerk provided us with a complimentary room upgrade. Seriously, this is hospitality at its finest! I run a web design company and so wifi access is very important. Unlike most hotels of this class, the Park Plaza provides complimentary wireless wifi throughout the entire hotel (no nickel-and-dime extra wifi fee here). Each exceptionally clean room is stylishly designed with creative lighting control, a beautiful bathroom, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Rooms are fully equipped with a microwave oven, dishes and cutlery, and a bar fridge that includes an empty section for your own foodstuffs. Additionally, the room desk is equipped with a power strip containing a U.S. style electrical socket. It's rare to find rooms in hotels of any class that are so thoughtfully laid out. Finally, this is one of only a few hotels in London with its own pool (15m) which is as good as it appears in the photos. You will be hard-pressed to find another hotel in London that is a match for the Park Plaza Westminster. Read more
