Excellent location and comfortable public transport, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby that are open till late. Rooms are very warm (we were there in winter time). The "beds" for the 3rd and 4th guest are in fact a very narrow and uncomfortable sofa. 2 adults may not sleep on it at the same time. More or less OK for small children (the suite was […] advertised as suite for 4 adults). Decent size of the rooms for London (for most of the other places they would qualify as rather small). Old building transformed into apartment hotel - i.e. no lifts, narrow and rather steep staircases, difficult to carry the luggage up or down. Equipment in the rooms is a bit old, but functions OK, bathroom needs repairs. In case of long term stays (10 days or more) - the cleaning must be at shorter intervals, e.g. at least every 3-4 days. 6 days intervals are too long. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel"
Pros: location near the Bayswater and Queensway tube stops. Cons: The room was a tad small, and the toilet wasn't very efficient. When I finally got hot water in the shower it was scalding hot, and despite setting it to a cooler setting, the water temperature didn't change. Overall: I'd stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"sorry, gotta be a no"
The hotel is undergoing renovation. We asked for a room on a lower floor because of a disability. The room was far below the standard of what should have been rented. There was no hot water in either sink, lights were out, floor molding was coming off the wall... doubt I would give it a second chance even with the renovation.Genuine Expedia guest review

"small but sweet"
The location can't be beat, just north of Kensington Gardens and about 150 yards from the Bayswater tube station. The room was tiny, but really well laid out, and having a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster really made a difference to the enjoyment of our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hyde Park Suites"
It was a Great location, but paper thin walls and a little shabby. Didn't like that maintenance kept knocking on door wanting to come in, but nothing was reported needing fixing. Also there were not English channels only Arabic satellite fed...missed good Brit comedies!Genuine Expedia guest review
"AWalk to restaurants and transportation"
We walked a block to our apartment after checking in which was no problem. The people were very kind and helpful. After checking out, they stored luggage until our evening flight at no cost so we tipped (but they didn't seem to expect it. ) The price was right. The buildings were older but updated and had good atmosphere. We would use them again. The […] staff was VERY helpful which made up for being marginal 3 star accomodations. "Small but COZY, CLEAN and COMFORTABLE !!!"
Hyde Park Suites have a number of property in along Inverness Terrace, which, by the way, is an amazing location very close to centre of London and accessible via two underground stations (Bayswater and Queensway). With two stations just minutes away, you get access to all train lines to easily connect to almost everywhere. I stayed on house number […] 34, the apartment was small but clean and had all the essentials for cooking and self hygiene. Given the price, I would complain about the size of the rooms and shower. I have only two criticism, which are not major but provide room for improvement. One, is if the reception was properly staffed with more than one person doing every thing, from receiving calls, attend to walk-in guests, and also luggage deposit. She had a lot on her hands for one person. Another issue was with the stairs. The apartment has up to 4 floors, and the stairs are quite steep. They should consider installing an elevator, as it is a nightmare to up luggage and you are all alone. Yeah, it was good exercise, but more than what I could chew at time, especially if you have people visiting you and have to take a flight of stairs before reaching you. "Love the Location, Internet was horriable"
I am a business traveler and had a really bad experience with the internet they put me on the bottom level not sure if that was the issue.... The internet never worked... "Will be great when they finish it"
(for reference, I was in room 1C of No. 81. It was a basement suite) The room itself was fantastic, for what it was- large, fully-featured kitchen, comfortable bed. The TV wasn't bad, but the choice of channels was strange (didn't have the full complement of normal UK channels- only three- but did have 80 'world' channels from Italy to Saudi Arabia). The […] real downside was the bathroom. It was freezing- there was an 80% window, very thin wall to the outside that any heat immediately escaped from. There was no holder for the shower head, so I had to hold it myself. Also no shower curtain. The room seems like it was renovated relatively recently. I can only hope that the renovations on the bathroom are not complete, and that in the future the bathroom will be up to the same level as the main room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"London-convenient with kitchen"
a quick tube, short walk and steps up to a clean, safe, comfortable place with a full kitchen. Don't look at the broken floor tile and uneven grout in the bathroom and unwaxed/finished wooden floor. Being clean and having very comfy bed and linens with an immaculate kitchen with items necessary for a stay. We were third story of one of the buildings. "Caution - may not be what you think"
First the good things - Very convenient location - easy access to 2 underground stations and Queensbury St - full of restaurants & shops. The kitchen is nicely equiped and certainly helps with travel costs. The staff tried very hard to be helpful Now the bad stuff - NO AIR CONDITIONING - and you think London weather is mild but you need air and the […] windows don't open either. NO ELEVATOR/LIFT - possible 4 floors to walk up depending on which flat you get. Thin walls - you WILL hear your neighbors. The smallest bathroom I have ever seen and I expect small in London but this was very inconvenient. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location, Bad Bed!"
The location is perfect. It's a 2 minute walk to the underground. There's also a small grocery store around the corner which was great since the room has a kitchen. "Good and Bad"
Location was good and bed was comfortable. Desk staff was helpful. Room was too hot, no temperature controls we could find, we had to open the window to cool it off and the street was very loud with drunk people late at night ... sink faucet leaked, refrigerator was very loud, and shower door was off track. I was very skeptical about staying here after reading all the negative reviews. However, everything was ok... We checked in around 1430 and were told to come over in 30 minutes. "Provide basic comforts"
We traveled with a 16 year old and 23 year old. The sofa bed was barely large enough for two people. The microwave did not work. We tried calling the two numbers we had for the office and could never get anyone to pick up. The room didn't have a/c. Fortunately we could open the windows and the weather was cool. The windows did not have screens in them. […] There was no cable so the programs on the TV were limited to five channels. Having said that, the location was good. "Hyde Park Suites - Apartments london"
This is not a hotel in the traditional sense but is a number of properties in the area around Inverness terrace which have been converted to accommodate guests. When i finally got to check in i was informed that my "room" was in a building in another road a good 15 minute walk away which is where i had to get to with heavy bags in the rain, no offer […] of car or cab was offered. The room itself was upstairs with no elevator, another hassle with bags. The standard of the room was good, clean, large for London, double bed and couch/hideaway bed. The kitchenette was fine but the bathroom tiny with an electric towel dryer/radiator that was permanently on and only inches from the wash basin, so every time i went to was my hands i nearly burnt my left arm. The location was great only a few minutes walk from London's public transport links both bus and tube and shops restaurants etc. Overall the management need to improve and a little more thought needs to go into how they covert rooms to apts but i would stay again if on a brief trip to London but no heavy bags Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hyde Park Suites - good for the most part"
Before I left for the UK I read a lot of horrendous reviews about Hyde Park Suites, so I was a little apprehensive about what I might find. However, for the most part I was pleased. The location is one block from Hyde Park and allowed me to do all of my sight-seeing by foot (although it was a lot of walking!). The room was small (not exactly like the […] pictures) but adequate. It had a nice little kitchen area and couch right by the bed. My only complaints were the lack of elevators - I had to walk up 6 flights of stairs with my luggage - and I happened to not have hot water for some reason. On this last point, I brought it to the hotel's attention and the maintenance failed to fix it. As a last ditch remedy, they gave me the key to another apartment so I could shower in there. All in all, it was just fine. If you're looking for a budget place in a good area, I think Hyde Park Suites is fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pretty nice choice with 2 suggestions"
This is a nicely renovated studio but there were no bedside lights so you only had the overheads to read by and had to get out of bed to turn off. The bed could have been better, perhaps with a memory foam topper. One nice thing, a clothes washer and dryer was included in the unit. A fan helped in the heat as London is often hot. I had hoped for a […] little sofa as some of the pictures of various units show them but mine didn't. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Don't stay at this place"
Check in process was very long and even though the room was ready they won't let you in even at 12pm because my husband offended the female staff (Lina) and said," it was a trick" since she offered to upgrade to duplex room which cost additional 40 euros per night and my husband did not want to do it. They gave me a room on the TOP FLOOR (5th) and there […] was NO elevator and No air conditioned. Lucky when we were there the weather was good (mid June). Lot's of angry customers when I was waiting for my room to get "ready", until the other male receptionist came and gave me the room key a little earlier (we need to rest after 15 hour flight). Location is great and there were lots of good restaurants nearby but I would not go back to this place and look for other place to stay in the same area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location"
The location of the hotel is superb - 2 min walk to Kennsington garden, nearest tube, supermarkets and shops. The staff was nice and helpful, the room was a bit shabby, but all the aminities advertised were more or less in order. The most serious drawback - we got a room on the 4th floor without a lift (with many appologies from the staff) - huge disadvantage […] considering the heavy suitcases that had to be dragged there. The room was stifling hot notwithstanding the cool and pleasant air outside. Overall - worth a try, but preferrably not on the upper floors Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

location of hotel was great. The room itself was fine. A big downfall though was the bathroom. It was so small and the shower was tiny you could barely fit in there and shut the shower door. "Great suite, great value, great location!"
We had read most of the reviews before booking this hotel. We were quite nervous given some of the negative reviews, but the price and location for a self catering suite led us to book it anyway. We were pleasantly surprised! The staff were friendly, our suite was a short walk away from where you check in and it was on the main floor. It had ample room […] for 2 adults and 2 kids and it was very clean. The location was excellent being a few minutes from Hyde Park, shopping and the tube. The only negative things we could say was that it was extremely warm and the one window did not open and the walls were thin so we did hear some noise from the other rooms and the hallway. Oh, and no tea towel so make sure you bring your own...we used a towel from the bathroom. Overall we were impressed and would definitely stay here again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I must say that this hotel is in a great location in terms of it being accessible by buses and the underground and also it is very close-by to Queensway, where you have all the restaurants and souvenior shops. "Small but perfectly formed"
I stayed here for 1 night as I needed to stay in London overnight for business. Small apartment . Beds were very low. It was clean, there was a well equipped kitchen and I would happily stay here again as its location is very close to Royal Oak, Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. In the Whiteley Shopping Centre (60 second walk away) there is a M&S […] to buy food. Only negatives: microwave was a bit old and timer is by dial rather than digital clock so timings were not perfect, a tea towel would have been useful to dry things up with, but the biggest drawerback was the TV volume was woefully inadequate and was connected to a satellite box that was well tuned in or a list of what channels were where.
