From the reviews, I thought it would be an easier walk from Paddington, where I arrived on the Heathrow Express after a long flight. If I weren't lugging... a suitcase and briefcase, it would have been fine, but had to manage stairs, cobblestones, etc. and it was not easy. The hotel is very modern, as described. When I got an upgraded suite, it was very, very nice. The plain room was fine except for the handicapped shower which could barely fit one person. There are some nice cafes and restaurants and a Sainsbury nearby. Very hard to find an ATM in the neighborhood. by a Hotels.com guest on 07/14/10

The front desk staff tried to raise my room rate on arrival despite having booked through expedia. They very reluctantly provided me with enough towels for my group and argued with me that we had used the minibar which was untrue. The internet should be available for free. Had help to download a book onto my kindle from the lovely Melanie who was greeting people at reception. This really was above and beyond the call of duty. A wonderful, pleasant and helpful young lady . The room was clean and pleasant but the carpet looked like it had seen better days. Breakfast was reasonable and the rate was good

We claimed before arrival and at booking for early check-in. This was not possible. We did not a get a room in time for our appointment. Service at desk was appalling. We highly recommend to stay at other Paddington locations.

The Novotel was superb ideal location next to the station and with no noise from it at all.Excellent tube and bus links on the door step. This hotel is clean and well located. It is around 10 minutes walk to the nearest tube station. The room is well maintain and the bed is cofortable. My only grip is the horribly lumpy soft pillow, which disrupt my sleep. All these positive attirbutes lost on the pillows. What a shame!!

Good hotel, quite new, well maintained and very friendly staff especially bar/restaurant. Easy for Paddington and in development area so felt quite safe. On the map looks dire, set between motorway and railway but is very quiet inside and surprisingly so outside as well. Would definitely stay there again.

Etter å ha landet på Heathrow tidlig morgen, ankom jeg hotellet før innsjekk hadde startet. (Normalt kl 1500) Fikk tidligst rom kl 13 sa de, og eneste mulighet for tidlig innsjekk, var ved å betale extra GBP 30,- for executive rom. Rommet var en STOR skuffelse !! Ikke noe spesiellt, og skittent teppe på gulv etc. Toalett og bad var seperat, men ingen […] vask på toalett ??? Ikke mye hygenisk ! Helhetlig vurdering Max 3 på skala til 5, og det som trekker i positiv retning er beliggenhet med gangavstand fra Paddington stasjon, samt lyd isolerte glass. L'hotel si trova in una posizione deliziosa, ma fuori "dal giro" e raggiungere la metropolitana a piedi pensavo fosse meno difficoltoso. La camera è accogliente ma molto più spartana di quanto pensassi, dalle buone dimensioni, però. Mancano tutte le hotel facilities di questa categoria che mi aspettavo: slippers, corredo bagno minimo (solo bagnoschiuma […] e shampoo...!) eccetera. Un pò deludente.
