"Pleasant stay"
We had a great trip to London and the Double Tree made a very nice home base. It was so very close to Westminster and Parliament and a short walk to the Pimlico tube stop. Great hotel (formally the fab 'Mint' now re-branded as part of the Hilton group. Quirky very modern, (every room has an I-Mac) scrupuliously clean, great staff.... It looks in the middle of no where on a map, and to be honest at the weekend it is in a very quiet area, but it is JUST a ten minute walk from Westminster tube station, so argubaly well worth […] the small walk.. Overall hotel offers very good quality and value for money. Staff professional, courteous and attentive. Only downside items were that the tea / coffee supply in room could have been more generous for two people sharing and the refrigerator was faulty. After a magnificent reception on arrival we found the hotel to be great. Got "upgraded" to a complimentary mini bar, and free breakfast both mornings. The breakfast was only OK in my opinion, and if I had paid the quoted price for it I would have been quite upset. But as it was complimentatry I can't really complain about this. We arrived at 10am expecting just to leave our cases at the hotel and come back to check in at 3pm. But our rooms were ready and we checked in there and then, excellent! "very comfortable - would certainly use again"
We stayed here for a few nights whilst my parents in law were visiting london. Apart from the location, which is a little bit far from the centre the hotel had everything we needed - the I-Mac in our room was particularly helpful to enable us to consider attractions and make bookings. "Rundum zufrieden"
Das Hotel befindet sich in einem ruhigen Quartier. Wenn der Neubau auf der anderen Strassenseite einmal fertig ist wird man auch nicht mehr durch die Bauarbeiten geweckt. Wenigstens haben diese erst um 8 Uhr mit dem Abriss begonnen. Der erste Eindruck vom Eingangsbereich war sehr gut, auch wenn alles schon ein wenig mitgenommen wirkte. Am Empfang wurden […] wir sehr nett begrüsst und bereits 2 Stunden vor dem eingentlichen Zimmerbezug auf unsere beiden Doppelzimmer geführt. Das eine Zimmer ging in den Innenhof, so gab es keine Aussicht auf die Stadt. Vom anderen Zimmer aus konnten wir die Abrissarbeiten überwachen, währe ein gutes Zimmer für die Baustellenverantwortlichen ;-P. Die Zimmer waren sehr grosszügig und sehr sauber. Nach einem kleinen Spaziergang steht man direkt beim Big Ben oder kann sich die Wachtablösung ansehen. Wir werden das Doubletree by Hilton sicher wieder berücksichtigen bei unserem nächsten Besuch. Hotellet er i fin stand med meget venligt personale. Værelset var også ok - dog kunne det ene vindue ikke lukkes helt, og der var spindelvæv i krogene. Hotellet er beliggende ca 500 m fra Pimlico, hvilket blot er én station fra Victoria, som giver adgang til stort set alle linjer i undergrunden.
