Novotel London Tower Bridge

I travel a LOT, esp international. So I have seen plenty of good & bad hotels. And this hotel was great. Just a 5 minute walk to the Tube or DLR, or Tower of London. And great, friendly staff. The hotel was OK. But it's really annoying that you have to be charged exra for WiFi in the room, when this is standard in so many others. Had I seen this when I was booking I would have chosen a different hotel.

Having stayed at this hotel before, I was upgraded to the new, ultra modern, superior rooms on the 5th floor. The room had a contempory feel and is packed with all mod cons incl. free wifi. The only complaint was an old fashioned 'non-steam' iron which was out of place with an otherwise super room. Would stay here again.

Lovely room, nice design but the separating wall between the bedroom and bathroom is glass. That means you have no privacy in the bathroom. I was on my own so I didn't care! Great location, clean, modern, fresh

I stayed here on a busy Saturday night just prior to the Olympics. The room on the first floor was very quiet, restful and very nicely styled. I particularly liked the shower which was situated close to the bed by a glass divider which you could 'frost' at will. The geek in me liked that. We arrived rather early for check-in and whilst the hotel did […] feel very busy that morning, they managed to accommodated us by midday. The only caveat was the breakfast. Yes this is a central London location, but no £15.95 is not alright for a stale and classically overcooked mess of a buffet. Other than that I can very much recommend this Novotel, although you'll find it over-priced if you're paying more than about £160 a night for it. Read more

Having made a very late booking and accpeting that I would have to pay a higher price than normal, I was sort of ok with the rate of three hundred fifty pounds for an Executive Room, yes room not suite! However on arrival at 9pm the facilities for an Exec Room were not fully proivided. an Exec Room at this price apparently comes with a coffee machine […] and real coffee - my room had a kettle and instant coffee, a free broadband service was availalbe for the rate, in my room it asked me to pay for broadband. I ordered room service and when it was delivered there was no space at all to place the try, i had to move my pc to the bed! The room was also supposed to have air conditioning but this didnt work and any attempt to tuen it on resulted in warmish air being fed intot he room. On mentioning my complaints to the reception all i got was a "i dont care appology" and a shrug of the shoulders. the receptionist stated that they had just finished redesigning the rooms - they should be ashmaded - i could have done a better job and put the customer first rather than emphasis on glass that went from clear to forsted at the touch of a button. Please - who is interested in that gimmick. I travel and stay in hotels 2-4 nights a week in capital cities around Europe, all 4 star. This was by far the most expensive hotel i have stayed in and most definately not the best quality either. Certainly the worst in terms of value for money. For an Exec room I expect more space, I expect more included in the rate and I expect a quality service. Do not stay at this hotel if you value any of the above. Read more

Lækre værelser og god service. Morgenmad var super lækkert. Badeværelset havde dog ikke afløb i gulvet (udenfor badekar) så det blev pænt vådt når man tog bad. Også på gulvtæppet i gangen :( Men det var også det eneste negative at sige.
