Hotel is located a block from Holborn Tube station, which makes it great for running around town but also a short (10min) walk from Soho and only a few more minutes to the 'main' attractions in London (Parliment/Big Ben etc). If you have any electronics with you, forget it. The room had one open outlet, and it was on the floor by the door. There was one I was able to free up on the desk, by unplugging the clock radio. Nothing by the bedside.

Very nice spot three minutes from Holborn tube, five min from British Museum etc. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, even during a busy check-in and check-out period. Asked for a quiet room - got a nice high floor and didn't hear a peep. Room clean, comfortable and well laid out. Not huge but totally fine.

I enjoyed the Grange Holborn and their efficiency. I was impressed by the hotel staff's promptness when addressing problems in my room and to my needs. I also felt welcomed by the staff as they were easy to approach and talk with. I would recommend this hotel and definitely stay there again.

Fails at its main function - Stayed in the Grange Holborn for 1 night for business purposes. Room was apparently "upgraded". I must have been upgraded to the street as I got about 1-2 hours sleep with the noise from the traffic outside. A few hours of sirens, buses and a rumble of the tube below, followed by more traffic in the early hours of the morning […] then back to sirens, buses and tube noise. This all from the 7th floor! Could not wait to leave. I visibly looked exhausted upon checkout and when asked how my stay was I said: "Very poor. Didn't get any sleep with the noise outside." To which the receptionist replied: "Oh I'm sorry Sir. Have a good day". That was it! Terrible way of dealing with a complaint. This review was written 1 hour after leaving. I am a fan of the Grange group of hotels but wrote a less than favourable review on this particular hotel a couple of years ago, after a not very good experience here. This time round there was a massive improvement all round, let down only by a slip up in house keeping. I was booked for 2 days but extended my stay by a further day as I was pleased […] generally with what I found. I stayed in room 431 and on the third day of my visit when retreiving coins I had dropped on the floor I noticed that not only did the corner unit in the room have a layer of un-vacuumed dust under it, but also tucked away at the back of the unit was a dirty cup, saucer and spoon from a previous occupant. I left it where it was and I suspect it will still be there (management please check). Like all of us cleaners can make mistakes, that is why the housekeeper needs to check to ensure quality control. Other than this the only other point of note is that the double room I stayed in was not of a size I would expect for a hotel that advertises itself as 5 star. All in all a good experience with one minor let down. Read more

Hotel is very near Holboln station, which was excellent for travelling around. The hotel room I got was an upgrade from the reception, and was on the 5th floor. It was reasonably quiet, the odd dustbin and street noise, but nothing of issue. The room service menu (normal) was not impressive, the fish+chips were much below par, but the breakfast was […] reasonable. The staff service was very good. The fitness centre was also well stocked with equipment, and the pool looked nice. The mini-bar was tempting, but expensive. No free water bottles in the room, which was annoying on the first night, as I had to use the mini-bar water. Lots of food places, and shops nearby, so could save money and still eat out. Would certainly book again, but may skip room service. Read more

Lovely pool, gym and spa area but changing rooms need updated eg shower room doors don't even close. Rooms basic and more traditionally done up. No free water in room. Peaceful room on floor 3.

Everything you need is nearby. The tube (Holborn), bus stations, restaurants, pubs, stores, supermarkets and some of London's landmarks. I can't forget to tell about the pool, just amazing ! I strongly recommend this hotel for everyone.

Nice, spacious room. Short distance to restaurants and cafe's. We had excellent breakfast at one just across the road. Walking distance to sites. Nice spa (although thought there should have been a hot pool/ bubble bath). Helpful staff. All in all good stay. Would come again.

Personale var søde men startede med at få værelse med en lille seng til to. Blev byttet dagen efter. Begge små værelser. Conserge manglede uddannelse men brugte gerne tid på os. Morgenmad var incl. for normale gæster mange pund for os. Hotellet glemte hver dag at informere resturant derom. Som gav besværd hver morgen. Pool var ca. 0,8 m til 1,0 m dyb […] og der skulle udfyldes et juridisk dokument om ens helbreds tilstand samt data reseptionen havde fået. Varmesystemet var enten top varmt eller koldt, meget svært at justere samt larmede meget. Read more
