Hotel is located a block from Holborn Tube station, which makes it great for running around town but also a short (10min) walk from Soho and only a few more minutes to the 'main' attractions in London (Parliment/Big Ben etc). The Grange Hotel in London lived up to my expectations. The staff was very helpful. They upgraded me to a larger room. The hotel had a gym, swimming pool and spa. I really like the Grange Holborn Hotel. I have stayed there a few times. Staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are good size and clean. Service there is great. Good location, edge of Soho area, short safe 10 min walk to theatre district. The Holborn tube/subway stop is just 2 blocks away, direct Piccadilly line to Heathrow. V nice gym. During my last […] stay there 12/30-1/5/11 my room wasn't ready. No problem. They gave me an upgrade for the entire stay. I asked them to confirm with the manager that it was for the entire stay. The reception re-confirmed with management, I wouldn't have to change rooms. I hate changing rooms. The next morning a different manager TOLD me very directly I didn't need a big room traveling alone so I was being moved. I reminded him of the prior conversation, he didn't care and TOLD me again very directly I was being moved. One Concierge gentleman was also unfriendly, others were v nice. I generally liked everyone in the hotel, but this visit was unimpressive. I was back in London 3/6-3/13. I stayed elsewhere. Still a good hotel. Read more

Nice one night stay. Arrived early, checked in but room was not ready. Came back later and was upgraded to a supposedly larger superior room. I found the room small for a superior room but it was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I used the underground and the nearby Holborn station is a about 150 metres away. which made it very handy. I actually like this hotel, mainly for its cleaness, facilities and more importantly it's location. The staff are always courteous and quick to help. My only gripe (as with most London hotels) is the price of the food in the restaurant. The quality of the food is very good though, the bill with mains, pudding and two drinks came to around £70. Didn't […] tempt breakfast at £20per person per day for continental only. Nearby there's ample coffee shops to get breakfast. The room was of a high standard, king size bed, lcd tv, no sign of wear and tear anywhere. The bathroom was a little small, I say small, you couldn't get to the washbasin without closing the door first. For an executive room I would say it was not an executive bathroom. One interesting observation of this hotel is the "complimentry room upgrade" you get when you first check-in. This is what we got when we first checked-in, infact when you look at the hotel's website, the room we were upgraded to was infact the one we paid for. The one next up from the executive room is executive 2, and where was the two seater sofa, I couldn't find it anywhere, certainly not in the wardrobe. Knowing what I now know I would have asked to change to the room I should have got. Maybe, it is being picky, but we all want to have a nice stay whiel away. Read more

I am a fan of the Grange group of hotels but wrote a less than favourable review on this particular hotel a couple of years ago, after a not very good experience here. This time round there was a massive improvement all round, let down only by a slip up in house keeping. I was booked for 2 days but extended my stay by a further day as I was pleased […] generally with what I found. I stayed in room 431 and on the third day of my visit when retreiving coins I had dropped on the floor I noticed that not only did the corner unit in the room have a layer of un-vacuumed dust under it, but also tucked away at the back of the unit was a dirty cup, saucer and spoon from a previous occupant. I left it where it was and I suspect it will still be there (management please check). Like all of us cleaners can make mistakes, that is why the housekeeper needs to check to ensure quality control. Other than this the only other point of note is that the double room I stayed in was not of a size I would expect for a hotel that advertises itself as 5 star. All in all a good experience with one minor let down. Read more

Location to central London is great. Ride the Piccadilly line from Heathrow and get off at Holburn station and the Grange is one block away. The lobby and outside appearance of the hotel is great and worthy of the four star rating but the rooms are a little disappointing. The bathrooms have obviously been renovated with upscale items but they are SOOOO […] small. Would not recommend these rooms to large or obese people! Front desk staff are great and the rooms are clean, The restaurant was too rich for our pocketbook but then what restaurant in London isn;t compared to North American prices. Read more

The location of the hotel is great. All the center is at walking distance and you have the two main underground lines at Holborn station. The pool is very nice and large. Hotel is very near Holboln station, which was excellent for travelling around. The hotel room I got was an upgrade from the reception, and was on the 5th floor. It was reasonably quiet, the odd dustbin and street noise, but nothing of issue. The room service menu (normal) was not impressive, the fish+chips were much below par, but the breakfast was […] reasonable. The staff service was very good. The fitness centre was also well stocked with equipment, and the pool looked nice. The mini-bar was tempting, but expensive. No free water bottles in the room, which was annoying on the first night, as I had to use the mini-bar water. Lots of food places, and shops nearby, so could save money and still eat out. Meget praktisk beliggenhet, kort vei til Holborn undergrunnstasjon, kort vei til Covent Garden, kort vei til Oxford street - midt i blinken! Fint treningsrom i tilknytning til pool, sauna og spa avdeling. Noe bedre vedlikehold kunne vært gjort med garderober, men greit nok. Rommene og bad på rommet var rene og pene. Kan fint reise tilbake hit.

Stort dubbelrum för att vara London. Litet badrum men fräscht och rent. Måste betala för internet om man vill ha mer än 30 minuter åt gången. Snålt och drar ner betyget! Kort promenad till Holborn underground station. Nära till prisvärda frukostställen runt hotellet.
