The hallways are not very clean (aged) and the elevator broke down while I was there (it was fixed). Very hard to get to room 203, elevator to second floor, down 6 steps through the fire door, up 4 steps, through a fire door, down 4 steps through another fire door. Not fun with a heavy suit case. Last day and we are leaving the elevator was not working. Older hotel, bottom window framing in our bathroom had fallen off onto the roof below. Can be a little noisy the way rooms and hallways are situated, but once I was settled, I was very satisfied. Did not use the breakfast service after my travel mate told me it wasn't worth it. Used nearby vendors (restaurants, stores, street stands) to make up the difference at reasonable prices. The convenient location can't be beat!

I was amazed at how tiny a single twin bed room is. The whole room is about 6 feet (2m) wide. Reminded me of some Tokyo hotels. You'd easily bruise yourself moving around. The carpet is old and not very clean. The beds are clean though and the street is quiet and very well located. Breakfast was very reasonable for a continental breakfast.

While the hotel workers were pleasant, the physical set up of the rooms was poor. Also we were on the 4th floor, but the elevator only reached the 3rd floor. We had to use a very narrow staircase to get to our room, juggling our suitcases in front of us because of the narrow width. To go downstairs in case of fire, one had to follow a maze of narrow […] staircases. We feared a fire! There was nowhere to put our clothes except for an open rod with 6 hangers. I'm not one that typically writes bad reviews, but I feel the need. The hotel is old, but that's to be expected in London. My room was okay. Twin bed in the middle of the room and you kinda had to crawl over it to get to the desk. This didn't bother me at all. The water for my pre-travel shower took a while to get "warm". I originally made a reservation for Standard Single Room. Just as I expected from other reviews, the room was tiny and very narrow. Most of the room was occupied by the bed with space left for one adult to pass on the side. It felt like a small to average walk in closet. There is a small safe and a place with few hangers. The tiny TV is hanging from […] above the corner and there is an internal AC than can be turned on by reaching out to the ceiling and turning switch on. The bathroom is very very small. There is a place to stand to take a shower, sink with vanity lights and a toilet. When I sat on the toilet I could not "maneuver" at all. In fact my body was touching the walls on both sides. While sitting on the toilet, to my luck the lights went out. So, I went downstairs and requested a repair. I was told that a technician is off till next week and they regret my inconvenience. Given this weeks three days was my entire stay with them I requested to be moved to another room. After some explanations, resistance and negotiations, I was moved to a Double Room. The double room was about 40% larger. It had larger bed (naturally), more space in the room where it felt like a decent room and a large bathroom :) The bathroom had a very good toilet area, full bathtub, sink area with a generous space for personal items. I was grateful that I got moved. Staff was friendly. There is a luggage room. Location is great! Tube station is around the corner and 15 minutes from the London center. Read more

The location is great, just a stone's throw from Earl's Court underground and Arena. What lets the hotel down is the size of the rooms, they are very small. Also, breakfast is chaos. We stayed room 003 which was outside of the main building to the back (seemed a bit odd) of the hotel. I think the rool was new because everything was spotless. Rooms are quite small but honestly for the price they are absolutly fine. Its not like you are struging to get dressed or walk around. You get a desk, chair, double bed, tv, hot drink facilities […] and a wardrobe to hang close. The bathroom was brand spanking new and the shower was really powerful and hot. I paid £54 and honestly i just cant fault it for the money. We were also allowed to keep our luggage in a lock room whilst we went out for the day AFTER we had checked out. Too many people expect something for nothing. We went to the ideal home show and its literally 2 mins walk to earls court. As budget hotels go, this one was pretty good. I had a twin room in the basement, which had recently been refurbished. Bathroom was small but adequate with a nice step in shower and glass door (I hate shower curtains). Beds were really comfortable and despite being in a busy part of London just off Earl's Court Rd it was surprisingly quiet at night. […] The morning was noisy because our room was next to the breakfast room but that was fine as we needed to be up early. The only downside of the room was the lighting; there is only one overhead light and no lamps. This was a bit harsh in the evening but not bright enough in the morning to see to do hair and make up. Bear in mind it's a cheap hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was small, tiny in fact but adequately equipped, good shower and everything was clean.
