    Breakfast was good but other than that the stay was very basic...room had no windows. Location is right off queensway tube line (central line) so centrally accessible. Perfect if going to stay 8 or less hours in the room.

    This hotel is in a great location, just a two block walk from the Queensway Underground stop. It is across the street from Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. The best thing about this hotel is the location, everything else needs improvement. The first room they gave me the beds were flipped upside down, so I asked for another room.     Hotel started off promising, letting us check in early. When we saw the lift we knew it was going to be bad, too tiny for 2 people and 2 bags. We stayed in the "renovated" part of the hotel but it was CHEAPLY done and TINY room. No luggage stand so they had to go on the floor. Linens were DIRTY and sheet kept coming loose b/c they used a flat sheet […] instead of a fitted one. No side lamp so you had the overhead light on or nothing. Mattress was hard as a rock and pillows flat as pancakes. Wi-fi is not free and was told this very rudely by woman at front desk. Finally on the last day the shower broke and TV didnt work anymore and when we told the front desk they seemed unconcerned and unapologetic. Only good point to this hotel was free buffet breakfast and convenient location. There were other hotels on the same street, I am sure one could do WAY better than this at about the same price.     My wife and I found the room to be to small. The bed filled the room. We could not have our small suit cases on the floor and still have room to walk. The service was nice and good breakfast.

    Far from the Underground/Tube, which is how most tourists would get there. My walk was about 15 minutes with two heavy suitcases. There is a closer stop, but hotel personel did not know about it (foreign staff). The hotel does not have phones in the rooms, nor pay phones anywheres outside. If you are nice the receptionist will make a local call for […] you (bring the number - as phonebook not necessarily available...I had to ask three persons to get one).     Quite possibly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. They put us in a basement room with flickering lights and a shower that didn't drain and flooded. The condition of the room felt like a practical joke, and when we asked to switch rooms the guy at the front desk told me he couldn't do anything and we'd have to wait until morning, so we did. […] The next day we were moved to another room that wasn't much better but at least it wasn't the basement. Note: the elevator is tiny, barely fits two people, and is scarily slow. I know it's not the most expensive place but we stayed at a comparably priced hotel in holborn the first part of our trip and it was much much better than this awful place. Read more

    we only used the hotel as a crash pad. It was in a decent location and only took 10 mins to get into central London. (hotel in zone2) The luggage holding service was really handy and it only cost £1!!!!!! If you need a value hotel then you can't really go wrong

    The room was tiny; we couldn't fit our suitcases in it so one of us had to store it in the bathroom. Two out of three mornings there was no hot water! The only good things where the comfy beds and the location.

    we stayed 2 nights. 1st night was a joke. Room was very small. Bathroom was more like a broom closet. No remote for TV and none available at reception and none of the staff knew how to work the TV manually. We eventually had to work it out ourselves. I went to have a shower and the shower head fell off! Again none of the 2 night staffers knew how to […] fix it and we were told no other rooms were available so all we could do was ask for our money back the next day! After some persuasion one of the night staff found several shower heads and got one to work. However the next day we were moved to another room which had just been refurbished.     The room was big enough but was really stuffy and there wasn't any form of cool air conditioning. The was a window facing a wall that I could touch if I stuck my hand through it. The window didn't open up wide enough to let what little breeze the was in. The we're also lots of random stairs and the lift is very small

    except the room cleaning(but that might because I give tips everyday), there is no service to me. Everything is about extra pay: 1) they charge you 2 ponds for 1 hour wifi internet. but you cannot access the internet unless you are in the lobby and the speed is surely less than what they claimed(less than 1Mbps DL) 2) if you want to put your luggage […] there before/after check in/out, 2 ponds for each piece. and they don't even know where mine was located when I try to fetch them back. Breakfast quality is not good and my bed is even worse since I can felt the edge of every single spring. Read more

    We were in a basement room by the boiler room so noise was an issue . The breakfast room was very basic , like a cafe , although food was fairly good .

    The hotel buiding is very old actually. They are now under renovation and new paint was put on the outdoor wall. In my stay the next block was under rennovation and scafoldding was set. Since there is no air conditioner and ventilation facility (except a small ventilation outlet in toilet) installed in the room, I had to open the window for fresh air. […] I was so worried about security of my staying as anyone could easily climb up the scaffolding (The building is only 5-storey high) and enter my room through the opened window. The heating system of the room was not functioning as well. The temperature was just 4-10 degree in London during my stay. There is no switch in the room for the heating system and it was not turned on centrally. The bedding was also very old. There is no covering for the blanket. The toilet and the shower area was so small that it is difficult to move in there. The clothing cabinet door cannot be closed if you hang some coat in there as it it too narrow to fit the hanger. They also charged me 1 pound for each piece of luggage I keep in the temporary storage after my checkout. May be they need to earn additional money for their rennovation.     They put us in a room in the basement with a fan going on all night somewhere behind the wall (I wish I had earplugs!). They were supposed to wake us up in the morning by they forgot. Staff were polite, but overall it is not worth it.

    it was ok first time but at mid night, there was water drops in the toilet and it was annoying so much. Hotel staffs are bit biased about whom to serve firstly. he suddenly talked someone else while he was talking to me. breakfast was ok and location was all right as well. but i would not go back there again!

    Okey location and nice surrounding, but the hotel is not good. There is no serviceminded staff, my room smelled urine, no free WiFi, walls are really thin so you hear everything from the rooms close to your own and from the corridor...not soo good if you want to sleep..overall a really lousy hotell, wouldn't recommend it to anyone...

    We have visited London in January 2013, and stayed in this hotel for six nights. Everything was absolutely awful. Room: Too small for even one person, had tiny little window just below the ceiling and overall looks more like a tomb not a room in the hotel. Well at least now I can imagine what Anna Boleyn was feeling right before the execution. Bathroom: […] has no ventilation whatsoever, so after two people had shower, bathroom looked like a Turkish hamam for very long hours. But most noticeable thing about this room is the bed, especially matrase. If you have troubled back this bed will be your night mare for the period of stay. You will feel every spring of the matrase during your night rest. Whoever put this matrase in this hotel's bed should be executed same way as Thomas More. Breakfast is included: terrible food, every morning is the same choice of scrambled eggs godknowswhatmadeof sausage, and some other stuff. The only thing you can eat are the toasts with jam or honey. If you want a coffee you would have to wait 10-15 minutes for the cup every single morning no matter on what time you are having a breakfast.
