It was the last room available and it lived up to that bill. The room was right over the kitchen and, since the window didn't close all the way, it was filled with different aromas. The shower was clogged. At first, I had one minute to use the water before I had to turn it off due to a clogged drain. It eventually drained. I ordered a "studio" room and couldn't help but feel cheated as the room was essentially just one room with an extra bed, which I never needed. The hotel looked great after its recent refurbishment but it just felt a bit uncomfortable. Our room (Executive King, basement level) had no bath and one of those showers that comes straight down from the ceiling. Not my favourite design if you don't want to wash your hair although there was also a handheld shower head. The toilet is square, not very […] comfy and there wasn't enough room for 2 people's toilet bags. The bed was lovely and comfortable but the bedside tables are difficult to reach. The air con kept returning the room to 21 degrees when 24 felt nicer. The dining room was interesting to look at but the strange jazz music was a bit of an acquired taste. The chairs were too low for the tables and the forks were impossible to use, curving round the wrong way. I would go again but it wouldn't be my first choice. The bed however was great. We booked at least three weeks in advance but we were a late arrival. At the reception our welcome was good but the room we were allocated turned out to be in the basement which we refused outright. We were given an alternative room which although on the small and cramped side was clean with most facilities and the bed comfortable. No breakfast buffet […] except for continental which meant that we had to wait and wait and wait for the waitress to bring our English breakfast from the kitchen. It was only because we reminded her and then she produced a cold English breakfast........coffee was ok and hot. Hotel is clean and modern with good access to South Kensington area. Room was very small with the tiniest bathroom I've ever encountered. Staff were disappointing, not particularly friendly or helpful and to add insult to injury they tried to charge £20 for a movie rental that we didn't have.

Vi hade ett executive dubbelrum för två vuxna och en 4-åring. Rummet hade en dubbelsäng och kunde ej rymma någon extrasäng då det var för litet. Nyrenoverat och mkt fräscht rum, dock stora problem med AC:n när vi var där i december. Rummet blev så kallt att vi fick ett extra element inställt hos oss och först därefter blev det varmt. 2 min till tunnelbanan […] gör det enkelt att ta sig till och från Heathrow samt in mot centrum. Om man inte vill köpa den dyra hotellfrukosten så finns både Starbucks, Garfunkels, Pret a Manger, Paul mfl på samma gata som hotellet. Gångavstånd till flera bra affärer i South Kensington (COS, Uniqlo, Whole Foods, Gap etc). Bara två kvarter bort ligger flera bra museum, bl.a. fantastiska Naturhistoriska museet, Victoria & Albert Museum samt Science museum. Read more

Het hotel was perfect gelegen 1minuut van metro en 10 minuten lopen naar National History en de V&A. Kamers zien er mooi uit, helaas weinig kunnen slapen door de drukke weg waaraan dit hotel ligt. Dus let op bij boeking niet een kamer aan de straat kant nemen. De staff zei dat er aan beide kanten lawaai is en dat er dubbele beglazing is maar wij hebben […] echt liggen trillen in bed als er een bus langs kwam, wij hadden kamer 004. De volgende avond een kamer aan de andere kant gekregen op de derde verdieping, dit was veel beter.Ik zou een volgende keer hier niet meer gaan slapen, ongeinteresseerde staff en het vult niets aan aan je verblijf in Londen en in die omgeving heb je veel keuzes uit hotels. Vi var bra fornøyd med hotellet, men det var noen ting som gjorde oss ikke fullt så fornøyd. Vi bodde der i 8 netter. Vi hadde rom i 3. etasje, og når vi kom dit, fikk vi vite at hocedheisen ville være ute av drift i hele vårt opphold, så vi måtte bruke service heisen istedetfor. Forsåvidt OK, men den var veldig liten og trang. Så gikk denne i stykker […] i 3 dager og vi måtte gå trapper. Det var bra vi ikke bodde høyere opp enn i 3. etasje. Vi hadde rom uten frokost, men spiste allikevel frokost flere av dagene på hotellet. Siste dagen når vi skal signere for frokostregningen på rommet, får vi vite at om vi hadde forhåndsbetalt frokosten de dagene vi spiste der morgen i resepsjonen, så hadde vi spart en stor del av frokostregningen. Hvorfor sa de ikke dette før? Nå var det for sent! Beliggenheten er glimrende for å besøke Natural History Museum (MÅ SE!!!), Victoria & Albert Museum, Science Museum, og det er kort vei til Harrods. Ellers er undergrunnsbanen ca. 200 meter unna. Rengjøringen av rommet var veldig bra! Etter en dag med mye gåing i London, gikk vi tilbake til hotellet for å slappe av litt på sengen. Så banket det på døren. Jeg åpnet opp, og da var det en mann fra hotellet som sa han skulle sjekke minibaren. Jeg sa som sant var at vi ikke hadde tatt noe fra denne, men han sa han måtte sjekke allikevel, og presset seg inn i rommet, noe jeg fant litt frekt i og med at min bedre halvdel lå i sengen. Avevamo prenotato una tripla. La dimensione della camera assegnataci era appena sufficiente per una doppia. Per aprire il frigobar dovevamo spostare il 3° letto aggiunto; stessa operazione per aprire le tende al mattino. Era sostanzialmente impossibile regolare la temperatura all'interno della camera e comunque il flusso l'aria, che a prescindere dall'impostazione […] data soffiava impetuosamente, era orientata esattamente sopra i letti (non che lo spazio lasciasse alternative). L'eccessivo utilizzo di moquette dava la sensazione che le pulizie non fossero eseguite perfettamente, ma forse l'odore caratteristico ingannava. All'arrivo hanno preteso l'autorizzazione all'utilizzo della carta di credito. diversamente non ci avrebbero consegnato le chiavi della camera. Ottimo invece il breakfast. A parte l'episodio del giorno d'arrivo, il personale si è dimostrato disponibile e gentile. Ok i bagni a parte la mancanza del bidet. La fermata della metro è a 5 minuti dall'hotel. Read more
