Posh area, quiet at night. About a 5-10 minute walk to nearest underground stations. (Bayswater or Lancaster Gate). Friendly hotel staff. Nice, quiet, well-kept neighborhood. 5-7 minute walk to either Paddington Station or Lancaster Gate tube station and Hyde Park. Short tube ride to Oxford and Bond streets for shopping. Clean, comfortable room - great for the business traveler. I would stay again. Next time, I'll take advantage of the workout room.

Small rooms, although recently redone. We upgraded our room to the one of their largest, which was a nice size, even if below street level. We hated that we were only offered one free hour of WiFi per day; we would have to pay for more. Although most of the hotels that try to position themselves as business hotels want you to pay, even street cafes […] have free WiFi, and it would offset other less desirable qualities to a traveler. I've stayed at the Casear Hotel previously, Nov 2011, and found it OK. On this trip, Jan 2011, it was for 2 days, room 111 is not great. It wraps around the elevator, so is small (even by London standards) and there is lots foot-traffic traffic noise outside. The shower door doesn't close properly. The sink is missing a grate, so don't drop anything […] in the sink. TV channels 1 and 2 (BBC1 and 2) have lots of interference so are near impossible to watch (had this problem on my last visit). The hotel internet is slow, almost posible to Skype (audio only). Overall, a much poorer experience than when I first stayed back in November. When you check in be prepared to change rooms as some are not good. Unfortunately when I checked in I had to get on a conference call, it was late, and with a packed schedule I simply did not have the time to deal with arguing with the front desk on the room. Note to the hotel - don't put returning guests in your worst rooms, don't expect them to spend the time arguing with you on the room, many are simply too busy to deal with such hassles during their visit. Caesar Hotel is on a idyllic street just a few blocks from Kensington Gardens, Queensway and Paddington Station. It's about 5 minutes from the Queensway tube station on the Central Line. It isn't right on top of the sites, but if you don't mind a little walk to get into the thick of the tourists, it's a great spot. My only gripe is that the hotel only has a few irons, and I was in London for business. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was very good and convenient, Paddington station is an important hub in and out of the city. It's also close to the Bayswater/ queensway area with lots of shopping and eating options. The room for single is not big but it's clean and comfortable. I will stay again.

The room was far from the reception having to navigate through a maze of hallways and felt like it was in the basement. It smelt old and smoky. I did not request a smoking room but it had ash trays. Glad I don't need to come back anytime soon.

The hotel was in short proximity to Paddington, which is why we chose it. Very contemporary and clean. Our initial room was so small we couldn't even fit our 4 suitcases in it, however upon speaking with several managers we were assigned a downstairs room which was perfect. My only two complaints are first, that the rooms were not well sound-proofed, so that noise from the hallways disrupted my sleep (doors closing and such). Second, they charge the internet service per device. The title says it all. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourbood close to Paddington Station (Heathrow express) and 1/2 mile to the Underground (Central line). I literally used the hotel to crash after a long day of work, and left early the next morning. The room I had was tiny by US standards, but exceptionally clean - including the bathroom. I dropped […] my bag off at the hotel in the morning - staff was very welcoming and apologetic that they did not have a free room that I could take possession of right then. I came back at 18:00 and completed the check-in. And went out for the evening. The weather at night was warm, and like many UK hotels, there was no A/C. However I could open my street-view window, which helped a lot. No street noise, so I had a really decent sleep. Late arrival, early departure. Chose hotel as its close to Paddington station for Heathrow Express. Pleasantly surprised by hotel & quality of room. The staff of the hotel were all extremely helpful and the entrance and foyer of the hotel are very stylish. The only real problem is that the room I had (a single) was very small - there was not even any room for a chair! But for a short (one-night) stay it was more than adequate.

I don't often travel to London and needed a convenient location to arrive by train, meet a key colleague, overnight and get an early start to Heathrow for an outbound flight. This well-appointed, compact hotel was perfect. About a five minute cab ride from the station each way. It could have been walked if I had not had luggage, computers and books […] in tow. What a beautiful street to have visited. The clean, well-lit lobby and the adjacent bar made a good location for a two hour meet up over tea and cava. A delicious dinner with great service, wireless internet, news on TV and a 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of London seemed almost impossible, but it happened. The scale of the hotel and its amenities made it seem like a very exclusive club. The staff assisted and informed my train booking, printed my boarding pass, ordered up the cab for the next morning. The bell captain alerted me at the very generous, reasonably priced continental breakfast when my cab arrived. A very productive and rejuvenating 17 hours from checkin to checkout. Read more

Was looking for a cheaper hotel for my one night stay in London. Picked Caesar as it's the cheapest 4-star and closest to Paddington, which I'll be leaving from heathrow. Room is clean and a comfy big bed. Around 15 minute walk to Paddington Station so it's quite okay.

Having paid relatively little for one night at this hotel I wasn't expecting it to be so nice. The comtemporary style of this hotel continued from the Reception area to the room (534), although I was confused by the floorplan, as the rooms in the 500s started on the ground floor and my room was in the basement! The hotel is very centrally located and the rooms are tiny but nice and clean. The downside was that you were able to hear your next door neighbour come and go, talk and walk - so bring ear plugs. Also the blankets are pretty much a joke in the winter.

I needed a hotel room on a budget as I was working in London and was expecting to arrive late and leave early so I didn't need a fantastic experience, just a clean room. I booked this as it was one of a few in the price bracket that looked half decent, and one where I didn't expect to share my room with rodents, or a shower with the entire floor. The room was small but again immaculately clean. the only downside was the bed was very hard and as a consequence I had a broken nights sleep, but if you like hard beds then it's not a problem. The restaurant was well staffed with friendly efficient people who were very attentive. Breakfast had a great choice although I rather with I had gone for the continental rather than the English. They had tried a bit too hard to make it look trendy. Not quite the point of a traditional English Breakfast. I've never had baked beans in a bowl. All in all this is a great hotel. The single I had was very small, as other reviewers had indicated. This is one of those 21st century hotel chains that buy undervalued properties, fix them up with a coat of paint and some 21st century W-Hotel inspired elements and multiply the price. The staff are all non-english (a negative because they simply can't help with the city much) and rather […] "precious" in their pretense of being high end. The room (104) was fine, well maintained, with a credible bed and bathroom, decent water pressure and generally acceptable, although the room was surprisingly stuff and hot for October because of the underwhelming air conditioner which was just not sufficient even for a room of perhaps 100ft2. I wouldn't want to be there on a hot, humid London Summer day. The location is perfect...5-10min walk to Paddington station, near Notting Hill, so safe and convenient. I didn't eat/drink there but the food looked well turned out. If a deal can be found, the Caesar represents pretty good value for an often notoriously expensive city. I'd stay there and would recommend it for business, convenience, safety and locale. Read more
