The other issue was that my room was so tiny I could barely move in it. The bathroom sink was too small to fill up the tea kettle, for instance. Yes, this is England and as long-time travelers to Europe we know rooms are generally small, but the photographs on the hotel page are deceiving; the room (or should I say closet) we had for 2, on the 5th floor, was tiny; only one person could be standing in the room while the other had to either be in the bathroom or laying on the bed. The room was […] quite clean, and the bathroom, although again very tiny, was modern and also clean. There is no air conditioning in the room and the small window opening allows for only a small amount of fresh air; not ideal for travel during the warms summer months. We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely convenient neighborhood. We were felt welcomed and were given tips about getting around and places to eat. The room was small, but that was expected, and clean enough. I would have liked to have CNN on tv, but BBC was just great! I recommend this hotel.

A friend and I just returned from a week in London, staying at the Best Western - The Cromwell. Of the 4 or 5 hotels I've used in London over the past 10 years, this was by far the nicest, cleanest, most modern, most comfortable and certainly the best value. While we were visiting for personal vacation, I am confident that business travelers would […] be pleased with the hotel as well. Check-in was simple. As I had an early morning flight into London, I showed up at the hotel well before scheduled check-in. Unfortunately my room was not yet available (I didn't expect it to be), but the desk clerk stored my bag and offered me a map and suggestions for things to do in the area for a few hours -- the Victoria & Albert and Natural History museums are just a short walk down the road and a great (free) way to spend a few hours! Returning to the hotel at the scheduled check-in time, I was offered a different room which was "more spacious" than the one I had originally been given. If you've traveled in Europe, you should know that rooms are much smaller in comparison to American hotels. Do not expect tons of space. But I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of our room. It was cozy but not cramped. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was absolutely gorgeous--and fairly spacious, by London hotel standards. The Cromwell is in the rather upscale South Kensington area, and is literally less than 2 minutes walk around the corner to the Gloucester Road underground station with service on the Picadilly, Circle and District lines -- making travel anywhere in London (and to and from Heathrow) very easy. If you're the "going out" type who stays out late to take advantage of London's plentiful nightlife, it is only 15 minutes on the N97 night bus from Trafalgar Square. Overall its a nice hotel- they have a wonderful set of patios on the first floor that overlook a private garden in the back of the hotel away from the street. The bed wasnt the best we've had, but everything else was pretty standard and completely acceptable for the price/location. Would recommend/stay again.

Clean and chic, nice newly renovated bathrooms in some of the rooms with beautiful alessi interior, small bedroom and difficult corridor system, but all in all a nice hotel in a good area. Only 3 min walk to nearest underground station and 15 min ride to city centre.

The hotep is clean, quiet and convenient to much of central and west London. The staff are efficient but not overly welcoming. The room is comfortable and the space better than most hotels around. The bar area is not exactly convivial to sitting around in. I would recommend the hotel.

I was glad that this hotel was close to the victoria train station on the subway line. One thing I really did not like was on the request of asking of your passport # because of the other hotel that I had stayed at in Edinburgh, Scotland never asked me for that type of information. This type of information confidential and only government agencies should […] only be having it. I also, had to tell the front desk that I had called the night before to check everything was good for my reservation and I was booked into a 2nd floor room because I had made a special request for not being in the basement due to moldy rooms there. I had read of this within the reviews through hotels.com. When I arrived the front desk person told be that they had booked me in a room on the 5th floor though having read a review on hotels.com there is no elevator to getting to that level of the hotel because of having heavy bags they adjusted my room to being on the 4th floor though the bed took most of the room. I understood about European hotel rooms being smaller due to having travelled in Europe before. I found the cleanliness was average though the soap holder was dirty though otherwise, it was quiet clean. Read more

I stayed at The Cromwell in March and was extremely happy with the hotel. I got a good deal on the hotel and it looked much nicer than other hotels that were asking for the same price. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was immaculate. Our room had a 32' flatscreen television with freeview which we wern't expecting so that was a lovely […] suprise. The room itself was a good size with lots of wardrobe space, it was modern with lovely furnishings and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very light and clean and the shower was lovely and powerful. The hotel was about a 3 minute walk from the nearest tube so was easy to get to. We stayed two nights and loved it. The only thing that I found a bit annoying was having to put £50 on my card in case we caused any damage to the room. We also didn't stay for breakfast as we found it very pricey for what was availiable. Read more

10/6-10/12に友人とツインルームに滞在しました。ロンドンのホテルは狭いということは頭に入れていましたがベッドルームは確かに狭かったです。スーツケースを広げるのに一苦労。また、シャワーのみなので固い道を一日中歩き回った疲れを癒すバスタブがあれば最高かな。無線wi-fiもありますが部屋だとかなり環境が悪く繋がりにくいため友人はロビーまで行っていました。あと、窓が２重窓になっているのですが何故か外側の窓が開いていて閉めることができなかったため、早朝の清掃車の音などかなり気になりました。立地についてはヒースロー空港から地下鉄で１本で行け、大通り沿いなので迷うことなくたどり着けます。自然史博物館やV&A美術館へも徒歩圏内なので朝のお散歩がてらには丁度いいかな。駅前にはPOUL、スタバ、ケンチキ […] 、スーパー、飲食店、コンビニがあるので朝晩困りませんよ。交差点には両替所、ポストオフィスもあります。 Read more

Gloucesterの地下鉄の駅まで近いが、ヒースローエクスプレスを使おうと思うと不向き。パディントン駅まで何回か乗換なければいけない。地下鉄で一本で行けるけど、地下鉄がゾーン６なので、時間も算用する必要有。 従業員たちは非常にフレンドリーで、常に笑顔で接してくれた。が、宿泊する前にスーツケースを預かって貰えないか尋ねたら、いっぱいだから無理とのこと。帰りは預かってもらえたが、この一回が私にとっては非常に大きな損失だったので、すべて３の平均値にランク付けした。 部屋はせまく、地下の部屋に案内されたので光も入らず、景色も見れず。だが綺麗だし、ピカデリーラインでいいなら、お勧めできる。日本の良いビジネスホテルのような印象でした。

Trevligt rum med fint badrum, ganska litet såklart men det är de allihop i London. Övervägande rent och snyggt, fint inrett och framförallt mycket trevlig personal. Prisvärt för den standard som erbjuds och ligger rätt på Picadilly, Circle och District Line. Trevlig vistelse.

Bra hotell. Vi åt aldrig frukost, men det fanns flera bra frukostställen inom ett halvt kvarter. Ligger mycket nära Gloucester Rd tunnelbanestation på Piccadilly och Circle Lines, så det är lätt att ta sig därifrån inåt övriga delar av London. Hotelli sijaitsee loistavalla paikalla ! Vain parin minuutin kävely ja olet Clouchester Road:n metroasemalla. Hotellin huoneet ovat erittäin siistit ja uudet. Meillä oli huoneet sisäpihan puolelta ja ikkunasta ulos katsoaessa ei voinut kuvitella olevansa yhden ison siäänajotien varrella sijaitsevassa hotellissa. Ehdottoman hyvä hotelli.

Detta är det bästa hotell som vi har bott på i London. Ett mycket prisvärt hotell med fina och nyrenoverade rum med en känsla av skandinavisk hotell känsla (trots att rummen är små). Tunnelbanan är bara några hundra meter bort och Hyde Park ligger runt hörnet. Best Western The Cromwell ligger bare et par minutters gange fra undergrunnsstasjonen Gloucester. Stasjonen ligger i "Zone 1", så man får et hotell som ligger svært sentralt. Samtidig er Kensington et veldig fint boligstrøk i London, så her er det hyggelig å bo. Hotellstandarden er bra. Flott rom med fin innredning, samt rent og pent. Ihana, kaunis, vanha kunnon viktoriaaninen rakennus. 2 min. kävelymatkan päässä metroasemalta. Huone oli pienehkö (meillä oli Standard-huone eli halvin), mutta siisti ja kodikas. Jos haluaa tilaa, kannattaa ottaa kalliimpi (=isompi) huone. Wc tyylikäs. Siivooja kävi ja pyyhkeet vaihdettiin joka päivä. Huoneissa koneellinen ilmanvaihto, sai halutessa […] joko viileää tai lämmintä. Myös lämmintä vettä riitti hyvin suihkussa, vaikka joku varoitteli ettei Englannissa välttämättä sitä saa...Henkilökunta ystävällistä. Sijaitsee sopivasti Piccadilly metrolinjan varrella, joten pääsi kätevästi kulkemaan suoraan sekä Heathrowlta että keskustasta. Puistot ja museot (osa) lähellä. Paljon keskustan tasoa edullisempia ruokapaikkoja hotellin ympäristössä. Aamiaista sai erillistä maksua vastaan hotellilla, mutta lähistöltä löytyi hyviä ja edullisempia aamiaispaikkoja, kannattaa tsekata. I utgangspunktet et MEGET bra hotell sett i forhold til pris. Området rundt er fantastisk - kort vei til pub, kort vei til undergrunn og generelt mange kafeer og restauranter i nærheten. Selve hotellet er også grei standard. Men - en klar ripe i lakken for vår del var at vi ikke fikk dobbeltsenger fremfor enkeltsenger, enda vi hadde bestilt rom flere […] måneder i forveien. Fint hotell, pene rom (om enn små, men god seng og plass til kofferter), stilig bad, rent og meget hyggelige folk i resepsjonen, god service og god informasjon. God beliggenhet i forhold til Undergrunnen (3 min) og derfra kommer man jo hvor som helst hurtig og effektivt. Hyggelige restauranter og puber i nærområdet. Anbefales!

Väldigt bra läge, ca 100m från tunnelbanestation (picadilly line). Många restauranger precis utanför hotellet. Vår duschslang var sönder och vi påtalade detta i receptionen, när vi kom hem på eftermiddagen var det fixat. Trevlig personal i receptionen. Enda negativa var att rummet var väldigt litet.
