"Excellent Hotel!!"
This is a great hotel in Central London. Check in was very easy, we arrived early in the morning and the staff was able to hold our bags until we checked in later in the day. The staff was very helpful with all of our needs and questions we had regarding the city of London. This hotel is in a great location, within a five to ten minute underground (tube) […] ride to all main areas and attractions in the city. The underground station ( Gloucester RD) is very close, across the street from the hotel, We took the underground from Heathrow Airport to the underground station. The area is very nice, super market, drug store, and nice restaurants and pubs very close by which was nice to walk to. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, Very quiet at night. The rooms are on the small side like many European hotel rooms. It was just fine for my wife and I during our stay. We were out exploring most of the day and night, we mainly used the room for sleeping and showering etc. Who goes to London to sit in a hotel room? We booked the standard, or smallest room at the hotel. We will definately stay at this hotel again when returning to London. The price is great, it is in a nice, safe area, and close to all attractions in the city. I greatly recommend this hotel when staying in London and trying not to spend a fortune on a hotel. "Great location, Wonderful stay"
The Cromwell was perfectly situated to all the sights and sounds of London. Walking distance to the So. Kensington museums, and easy access to all of London thru the Gloucester Road tube stop, less than a block away. We had a huge family room at the front of the hotel, which was so well sound-proofed we couldn't hear a peep from the street. Would highly […] recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for family or couples."
Our recent stay was very nice. The couple we were with had a much smaller room, however. The hotel staff was superb. There was a mix-up with our airport transportation when we were leaving the morning of August 30. However, this error was totally our fault, and not that of the staff, and I want to make that perfectly clear.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient Location"
Location was great - very close to underground and bus stop on the doorstep to take you to shopping areas. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing Customer Service"
Well this review is a bit unusual. We booked a garden view room at this hotel, but when we went to check in they said there was a problem and they didn't have a room for us at this hotel. My first thought was that we were going to be put up at some cheap hotel, but much to my surprise they said that they booked us a room across the street at their sister […] hotel. They promptly helped my wife and I with our bags as we walked just five minutes to the hotel across the street. We were greeted there and promptly got checked into our room. This is where we were very plesed. They booked us a junior suite at a 4 star hotel and when we entered our room there was a bottle of wine from the Best Western as a small gift for the mixup and wishing us a pleasant stay in London. The room was absolutely amazing and much more expensive than the one we originally booked. I have never had a hotel go so far above what was necessary to fix a problem. It was a pleasant surprise and I will definitely stay at Best Western the Cromwell during my next trip to London. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel"
My daughter and I stayed here three nights. The staff was very helpful and the neighborhood was great. I'd stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great staff, great location, small room."
Two things made this a great hotel, and neither had to do with the room itself. The room had problems with the AC and the shower (and it is small, but this is part of being in Europe, and we spent very little time in the room). The great things are the staff, and location. The staff took care of every problem we had the first day, while we were out. […] They even went out and bought a fan for us just for the white noise (we weren't used to the traffic noise). They also let us put our stuff in our room before check in, so we could start sightseeing right away. And you cannot beat the location. Right across the street from the underground. And best of all, this station is connected to THREE lines, one is direct to Heathrow (we rode the regular tube from the airport and saved nearly $100 on a taxi ride). Very easy to do. Plenty of places to eat nearby. All round a great experience, but don't expect a large room. There were only three of us and it was CROWDED to walk around in. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great service, great location, easy access to the tube. No complaints. For the price, really great for London.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Short London Visit"
Friendly staff, great location. About 50 minutes from Heathrow via the tube. Tube station across the street with access to 3 lines. Natural History museum short walk exit left from hotel. Good eating and drinking in neighborhood. When in London we are staying here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location across the street from Tube"
Right across from Glouster station and very close to museums, Hyde Park, Harrod's, etc. Quiet, clean, cozy room and very nice front desk staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean and close to subway station"
New, updated rooms. Comfortable bed and píllows. Sheets super clean. A few things were a little dusty like the remote control and toiletry. Other than that the room was spotless, clean sheets and towls. The staff is nice. Super close to subwayGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely suprise"
I really enjoyed this property. It was so close to the tube and it was Picadillly Line which is the line from Heathrow. It was only 2.70 to take tube to airport. Loved that feature. Staff was very friendly. I was very impressedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"BW Cromwell - great location, small but OK"

"Best Western The Cromwell in London - Good bet."
It was certainly a small room, but not unusably so, and I only needed a place to shower and sleep. One block from the Gloucester Road tube station (Picadilly, District, and Circle lines), walking distance to the Natural History Museum, and a nice neighborhood overall. Bathroom was in good shape, the carpet could have used a cleaning, and there were […] a lot of scuff marks on the wall, I'm assuming due to suitcases being hauled around in tight quarters, but I've definitely stayed in worse. The price was right for the accomodations and location, I will be happy to stay there again and recommend it to my friends. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best Western The Cromwell--London"
The hotel staff is friendly and efficient, and the building was recently refurbished. The location in Kensington is convenient to sites like Kensington Garden, Royal Albert Hall and the Victoria and Albert. The Gloucester Road tube station is a block away, and there are shops, grocery stores and restaurants in very close proximity. Great location! My […] only two complaints are minor: the lift only goes to the 4th floor but there are 6 floors in the hotel. The bell staff is helpful with luggage. The other issue was that my room was so tiny I could barely move in it. The bathroom sink was too small to fill up the tea kettle, for instance. It was clean and well-decorated, but I must have bumped my head on the dormer window 10 times in one evening trying to navigate around the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic stay"
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay! The room decor and cleanliness was top notch. The surrounding area is wonderful with tons of amenities. Our room was next to the elevator, but we didn't hear it at all! So quiet. Right next to the tube, and on the piccadilly line, so it's easy to get everywhere, including Heathrow airport! We are a family […] of three, so the "family room", was one double bed and a pull out leather sofa. My nine year old enjoyed the novelty of the sofa bed!! Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. "The Cromwell"
One bus stop at the entrance, 1 a block away along the tube station, making it easy to access transportation to different areas in London. The hotel is easy to get to from the major station & airport. Requires tube changes from the train stations, the tube from the hotel location - does not require any changes and takes at least 30 minutes. Peak travel […] hours may require additional time. The tubes get very busy and crowded making it difficult to bring language. Walking distance to Hyde Park, Natural Museum, Albert & Victory Museum, Harrods, short walk to a main street lined with shops & places to eat. A 10 -15 minute tube ride bus ride to Whitefield a huge major shopping mall. Rooms were clean, roomy, staff exceptionally helpful & friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel and location; would go back for sure"
We found the hotel to be perfect for us. The room is small, but the bed comfortable with extra pillows. The location is great, lots of restaurants, grocery stores and the underground within easy walking. We recommend Thai and Indian restaurants. We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely convenient neighborhood. We were felt welcomed and were given tips about getting around and places to eat. "Perfect Location, Clean and Comfy"
We stayed at this hotel during the weekend of the Royal Wedding and it was PERFECT! Location: This hotel is one block from the Gloucester RD. Tube station and has several restaurants and museums within walking distance. The Room: The room was small, but so is every room is Europe. The bathroom was modern and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed […] having the flat screen on the wall as well. Not much closet room though. The Service: The room was turned every day, although they don't have a business center, there is an internet cafe less than a block down the street. Attractions: This hotel is within walking distance of (3) museums, Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. Perfect Hotel - I will stay here on my next trip!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, wonderful neighborhood!"
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is wonderful; you are less than a block away from the tube and there are many stores, restaurants and pubs. The neighborhood was beautiful; quiet, visually stunning, and great for walks. The hotel itself was wonderful. Our bathroom was brand new. "Great value for a London hotel!"
A friend and I just returned from a week in London, staying at the Best Western - The Cromwell. Of the 4 or 5 hotels I've used in London over the past 10 years, this was by far the nicest, cleanest, most modern, most comfortable and certainly the best value. While we were visiting for personal vacation, I am confident that business travelers would […] be pleased with the hotel as well. Check-in was simple. As I had an early morning flight into London, I showed up at the hotel well before scheduled check-in. Unfortunately my room was not yet available (I didn't expect it to be), but the desk clerk stored my bag and offered me a map and suggestions for things to do in the area for a few hours -- the Victoria & Albert and Natural History museums are just a short walk down the road and a great (free) way to spend a few hours! Returning to the hotel at the scheduled check-in time, I was offered a different room which was "more spacious" than the one I had originally been given. If you've traveled in Europe, you should know that rooms are much smaller in comparison to American hotels. Do not expect tons of space. But I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of our room. It was cozy but not cramped. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was absolutely gorgeous--and fairly spacious, by London hotel standards. The Cromwell is in the rather upscale South Kensington area, and is literally less than 2 minutes walk around the corner to the Gloucester Road underground station with service on the Picadilly, Circle and District lines -- making travel anywhere in London (and to and from Heathrow) very easy. If you're the "going out" type who stays out late to take advantage of London's plentiful nightlife, it is only 15 minutes on the N97 night bus from Trafalgar Square. Also convenient are the grocery store, pharmacy and several cafes across the street from the hotel. It's definitely a great option for picking up snacks or any necessary supplies you might Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel, very nice service in Kensington"
Clear, well-run hotel in an extremely convenient location in Kensington. Within steps of an Underground station. Front desk always well-attended by warm, service-oriented people. This was my second stay at this hotel, and I will stay again. Rooms are small (typical London), but very comfortable for me. Ask for a room at the back of the building if quiet […] is important to you, since the street out front is busy. The rooms at the back overlook a quiet courtyard.
