This hotel met all our expectations. We booked a great rate for early Febraury on hotels.com and were expecting a tiny room,a over priced Internet and tiny towels, as per previous reviews. But we found the opposite, a small but clean room compact but with good storage and a powerful shower. Front desk accommodated us with early check-in as we arrived […] at hotel at 7.30 am on an international flight, that was wonderful! "Great and improved hotel"
The hotel was recently renovated, the lobby is much better and the room is modern and big compared to the old room. The bathroom is great, there is separate bath and shower. This might not be the same for the ordinary rooms because I was upgraded to a club room. The reception is much better. Before, I have to wait ages before I can check in or out but […] now it was very fast and efficient. I will come back again to see how the ordinary room is set-up. "Glad I Booked"
I stayed in a single room at this hotel, and though it was smaller than perhaps what I am used to in the US, the room was plenty big for what I needed to do. It had a bed, a chair with table, a desk, a wardrobe, and a suitcase holder. You can ask for a mini fridge for your room and stock up on food from Whole foods.. DONT order room service.. they never answer the phone and when they do, the order will be wrong. Thought the bedroom was a little bit sparsely furnished but this did not really matter as the room was only used for sleeping purposes. I've stayed here before and always try to book this hotel for my regular one night a week stay in London. This time I got a free upgrade from a standard double room and got a huge bed! It was very comfortable. As usual, the supply of coffee in the room is a bit limited (3 sachets in a double room-how does that work out?) but the room was very clean […] and very comfortable. I love the gym, pool and spa at this hotel (£8 extra) and it's why I book it all the time. I've never eaten here but the menu's look reasonable. We took a gamble when we booked this hotel because we saw some of the negative reviews that were posted. However, we are glad that we decided to stay here. The staff at the Kensington Close Hotel were attentive to our needs. We emailed the hotel a couple of times prior to our arrival with different questions and received prompt responses every time. […] We requested a quiet room with a bigger bed if possible. When we arrived at the hotel at 8 am on a Sunday morning, we were pleasantly surprised that the room was already ready for us and we were given a room upgrade (king bed) at no additional cost. Check-in was a breeze with zero wait time. Our room was nicely refurbished and the bathroom fixtures were new. We were very impressed with the hotel staff in general. We were courteously greeted by the door man, the reception and the concierge every time we passed by. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the servers were very friendly as well.
