I stayed here for a business trip in January and got a rate package rate including a BA flight. The hotel is right next to Hyde park and very close to the Marble Arch tub station. Lobby was tasteful and well cared for -- there were also many hotel staff on duty in the lobby who were very helpful with directions etc. Rooms were small, but well appointed. […] I think there was one wedding reception that was planned, which speaks to the level of luxury of the hotel. Beautiful, comfortable hotel directly across from Hyde Park. The staff was courteous, attentive, and helpful. The hotel is located in Mayfair in a very quiet section. As a result, it's a little bit of a walk to get to the Underground (Marble Arch is the closest station). The food options at the hotel were fine and if you qualify to access Marriott's […] Executive Lounge, you'll have all-day access to coffee, water, snacks, breakfast, high tea, and a nightly manager's reception. These options were great...though the room quickly fills up with a cast of characters who are determined to turn these food items into their meals...this provided for several days of amusement. Overall, a wonderful, comfortable hotel and I will definitely stay here again. Bonus credit to the concierge who managed to get us dinner reservations for New Year's Eve when we asked for them on New Year's Eve morning (ooops, we procrastinated). We had a wonderful stay. I would recommend the deluxe or executive rooms that have access to the executive lounge. The increased room rate was well worth it. There we had a good breakfast every morning, tea in the afternoon and beer, wine, hors'd ourves every evening. It also had wireless access and a large TV. Access to the Tube was about a 10 minute […] walk and about 15 min walk to Buckingham Palace. Concierge was able to get us reservations to every restaurant on my list and he recommended a pub where we probably had our best meal. Excellent service. They accommodated us with an early check in due to an early flight in from JFK. Hotel was centrally located in Mayfair section of London. Three blocks from the tube. Was amazed how quite the room was being located in such a busy city and an extremely comfortable bed. Very pleased with the comfort of the room. It is a lovely hotel which we have stayed at several times before, however, the breakfast this time was really really poor. Soggy uncooked bacon, beans and cold congealed scrambled eggs. Would recommend the hotel on a bed only basis. Go to the "great British" for breakfast ..... In Mayfair and you will be blown away

The Hotel is excellent, it is sad that they have now resorted to charging £29 for buffet breakfast We noted that attendance for breakfast by guests had fallen noticibly and can only assume that this reflects the exorbitant charge the hotel is charging,what a pity as this then becomes your overall opinion of the Grosvenor.

I stayed at the GHJW for one night and it happened to be the night I proposed to my girlfriend. She had no idea we were staying the night because I took the day off work/packed some of her stuff and checked into the hotel earlier and told her we were meeting an Uncle of mine at the hotel for drinks.
