The Strand Palace stands within the busy Strand district of London, England. Covent Garden is located two blocks away, and the River Thames flows two blocks from the hotel.

The hotel's marble-clad lobby reflects is furnished with tropical flora and leather sofas. Restaurant options include the Strand Carvery that serves daily buffet-style breakfasts and offers a selection of grilled meats and a cold buffet. Open for dinner Monday to Saturday, and open for lunch on a Sunday. Johnston's Brasserie prepares modern European cuisine and continental buffet breakfasts. Mask Bar attracts a pre and post-theater crowd, and boasts a bold black and orange color scheme. Pub atmosphere predominates at Hops Bar. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas of the hotel, and eight function rooms accommodate up to 200 guests. A shopping arcade includes a jewelers, and a souvenir shop.

Daawat at Johnstons – Serves contemporary Indian cuisine. The menu offers popular street food dishes and specialities. Open daily from 12pm – 10pm.
The Mask Bar - Serving cocktails until the early hours, the air-conditioned Mask Bar attracts the business crowd and features bold decor with a black and orange color scheme. Open 10 AM - 2 AM. Capacity 50 seated.

"Near theatres, Trafalgar Sq, Covent Garden"
I've stayed here twice before for its perfect location. Every bus in London goes by its front door, and you can walk to theatres, across the Thames to the London Eye, or to the the British Museum, National Gallery, Covent Garden, St Martin's in the Fields, etc. Once I walked to St.Pauls and still had the energy to climb the stairs to the Dome. You couldnt beat the location. Right in the heart of London. Great for wondering around and checking out everything. And the hotel in general was fine. It was just our room had some problems. Mainly the bed wasnt very comfortable and the shower left lots of water on our bathroom floor because the shower curtain didnt function properly (i.e. it was either […] stuck to you while you took a shower or pushed away and leaking water everywhere). Although our first impressions were excellent - early check-in, good room, pleasant and clean -we were very unhappy later when a good night's sleep was impossible. The state of the single- glazed window frame let draughts into the room and did nothing to alleviate the noise of traffic. The frame was very loose with large gaps. Added to that, work started […] on the building across the road at around midnight to assemble a covered walkway on the pavement. This was to protect pedestrians from the next part of the work, to clean the exterior of the building, which started around 6 am. Unfortunately work began (Putting in new windows) on room next door at 8.30 two mornings of our stay. WE were offered another room but as we only had one more night and they told us it would end that day, we did not bother changing... It was an easy tube ride from Euston, easy to walk from Charing Cross Tube/Stn & within easy walk of everything you could want. It's easy to stroll to the river, Trafalgar Sq. It is ideally located near the West End for theatres, the River, Whitehall, Regent Street, Buckingham Palace Etc, all of which are within walking distance. Location in Central London could not be better and being opposite the Savoy gave it the feel of another star rating. Ideally placed 10 minutes walk or less from theatre land, 5 minutes to Covent Garden, 15 to the London Eye etc. All you can eat breakfast was worth paying B&B rather than room only so little need to eat again until evening. Only blip was the bathroom in my room 839 which if you're a fella, forget a decent shower as the sloping wall over the bath won't allow you to stand up straight and the bath is just adequate and not that long. Lukewarm instead of hot one evening but mornings were fine. Even so the single bed was clean and comfy and the room did its job.
