Situated in affluent Knightsbridge, The Rembrandt is a stately hotel opposite the Victoria and Albert Museum, three miles from the theatres and restaurants of the West End. The hotel is in a perfect position for exploring the bustling city of London; nearby attractions include the famous department store of Harrods, 500 metres away, and Buckingham Palace, home to the Queen, two miles away. London Heathrow Airport is 15 miles from the hotel, a 30-minute drive.

The Rembrandt features Edwardian-style property designs. The hotel’s Palette Restaurant offers guests a buffet breakfast each morning and serves a seasonally inspired menu for lunch and dinner. They can enjoy high tea each afternoon and mingle at the 1606 Lounge Bar. Guests can also use discounted access to a nearby health and fitness centre where they can work out, swim, and enjoy pampering with body treatments, facials, massages, manicures and pedicures, and beauty services.

"Slipping a Bit"
Things got off to a rocky start when the check-in clerk attempted to charge me GBP 10/night more for the king room I had reserved. After we got that sorted out we had a pleasant stay, but thought the Rembrandt had slipped a bit since our previous visit a year ago. "Excellent Stay"
My wife and I stayed at the Rembrandt on 3 seperate visits in May and June 2012, during our 5 week vacation to Europe. I would highly recommend the Rembrandt to any guest, as long as you book the Executive room. The first and last time we stayed, I did just that, and the room was very comfortable, and spacious. My family truly enjoyed staying at the Rembrandt Hotel. We felt as if we stumbled upon a real treasure! When we first booked on hotels.com, we got a a reasonable rate & after checking in, we liked it & tried to rebook it on the same website but the price has increased by more than $100. The hotel was a great, small & clean hotel. It deserves its 4-star rating. Good value as it came with free wifi & free buffet-style […] breakfast (though same every morning). A short 5-minute walk to the subway & other small eateries. Walk about 15 minutes straight from the hotel, on same side of street & it will take you to Harrod's. I paid for 2 nights here, the room was on the 1st floor and was in dire need of renovation. Overall the hotel is quite nice but he 1st floor - don't stay there. The rooms are old, paint chipping squeaky floors. Bed are good though. I did need to extend my stay at the full price but for that I got move to the new renovated 4th floor, such a difference. As my title might suggest, the location of this hotel was fantastic, opposite the V & A, a short stroll from the Natural History and Science museums and a short walk in the other direction to Harrods. As well as the excellent location the staff at the hotel were all really helpful (we were very appreciative of the loan of an umbrella). The room we stayed […] in was basic but perfectly comfortable. My only small grumble would be that there was work going on in other rooms on the floor we were staying on which meant the corridors were covered with dust sheets and it was a bit chilly due to the doors to the outside being open but this didn't spoil our trip. "A Great Place to stay!"
We spent 3 nights at the Rembrandt Hotel, its location is perfect, opposite the V & A museum, 2 mins walk to Natural History and South Kensington Underground station. From the hotel you can you the famous Harrods store, Kensington is full of cafe, restaurants and shops. The hotel room we booked was a superior, nice but small. We ended up being upgraded […] to a Club Room as the fan in our original room was faulty. Our new room(146 - no view) had a Super King size bed, a double sofa bed and a jet bath, bathrobes were also supplied together with a complimentary tray for Teas & Coffee. The breakfast was great, lots of choice, full english, choice of danish pastries, yoghurt and fruit. The staff were very helpful. There is a luggage room, so you can check out or check in (if early) and leave your lugguage there then collect when ready. We liked this hotel and hope to return one day. "The Rembrandt, Knightsbridge fab & a few niggles"
Stayed at the Rembrandt on 25th Jan 2012 as a surprise for my mothers birthday. Firstly, the location was perfect, opposite V&A, a short walk from Harrods & on a lovely road with some beautiful patisseries & retail stores. We arrived via South Kensington tube which was further away than anticipated because we were directed via the V&A, so a long underground […] walk, although was pleasant enough. Checked in at 10.30am although room wasnt ready, so left baggage with concierge safely in private storage area. Returned later to collect luggage & room key. We were in room 172 on the first floor & I was disappointed to find that despite a special request, there was no acknowledgement of my mothers birthday, which other hotels have accommodated in the past with a bowl of fruit or card or cake. The room was at the back of hotel, & was therefore quiet, but it was one of the older twin rooms. I was slightly disappointed by the bathroom as there was a mark on my flannel, a small stain on the floor mat, and the tiling and decor were tired. Another niggle was no plug by the kettle, which we had to move from the tray to another location. However, beds were very comfy, tv very modern & easy to use, and the room overall was a decent size. Breakfast was gorgeous the next day, and checkout easy. Overall I was impressed with the service and breakfast, and location couldnt have been better (in future come via Harrods tube stop!), but the room could do with updating.
