The hotel is right next to the Gloucester Road tube station (Circle, District and Picadilly lines), so it was easy to get just about anywhere in London by the Underground. The room was good sized (about 300 square ft) with a good sized bathroom and in good repair. Housekeeping was quick to clean the room. Definitely recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, convenient location"
This was my second stay here and I was very satisfiied with all aspects of the hotel. Pleasant, helpful staff; clean well-maintained room, and convenient to tube and bus stops. I will definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location!"
Located just outside the Gloucester tube stop, on the circle line which is connected to every major place you would want to go in London if visiting the sites. I would be sure to ask for a no-smoking floor if you're from the US, as we no longer have smoking floors here but apparently they do there. I put a towel by the crack in the door each evening […] and had no problem. The neighborhood was quiet at night so I slept well. The concierge and bellman team were superb! The cocktail lounge and breakfast hostess staff, could use a little help. I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I had moved hotels to stay at the Millennium and was so disapointed. My company had stayed there in the past and we have always used this hotel but it was an awful experience this last time. When I checked in my room had been given away and all they had left was a twin bed. The first room they gave me was a smoking room when specific requests had been […] made about non-smoking. After that, they moved me to another room that smelled like someone had dumped a bottle of perfume all over it. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building in a wonderful location but my stay was very poor. After numerous complaints they didn't even offer free wifi. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent hotel at prime location"
Last year my wife and I experienced poor service in a poor quality room at the Milennium Gloucester. This year the experience was excellent. We got a very good room and enjoyed our 5 night stay very much. The service this time around was excellent and we will return to the Milennium during our next visit to London.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location."
Location is very convenient. Close to restaurants, museums and transportation.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location - did not feel the cleaness though"
The location is 1 block off of the subway in a great neighborhood. The room didn't have any device that told time (a clock, or time on the tv) which seemed a little odd. The grout in the shower was dirty and poorly applied, there was random hairs on the bed and the bed and bedding was nothing to write home about. Overall if you don't worry about those […] things the location is really good, so for the price not bad. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for a London visit"
Great location right next to the Picadilly line Tube station. Lots of restaurants in the area. Nice walk to museums, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fine hotel"
Great location. Okay service...nothing to complain about. Expensive Internet. Would go a gain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient and comfortable"
We are a family of four - two older teens - and we really liked this hotel. Our room was on the club floor, so I can't speak about the other floors, but room was large for London, mattress and pillows good quality for sleeping, bathroom brightly lit. Hotel has a large lobby and nice lounge area and restaurant. It's located on the Circle and District […] Lines, so very convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a couple of small issues which were quickly addressed (the electrical outlet wasn't working). The concierge gave us great suggestions for restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again, either with or without kids. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

It is cozy hotel and near all London activities, need some activity inside, developpe the business center and the wifi connections..Genuine Expedia guest review

"Worth it all round"
We stayed there for our 5 year anniversary. The hotel itself was fine. Clean, friendly staff. The location is impressive. Its so close to the train station which means your close to everything else. There were good restaurants in and around the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. The staff were helpful and very knowledgable about the local area […] which helped alot. "A good stay."
A very comfortable hotel. Excellent location - Gloucester Road station (Piccadilly/District/Circle Lines) two minutes away. . Large room. Nice bathroom. Nice staff. Highly recommendedGenuine Expedia guest review
"Ok but not great for the price"
The hotel was ok but not that great for the price compared to others I've stayed at. The Ac didn't work properly, the rooms were not cleaned properly until I asked them to re-clean. The hotel needs an update of rooms and common areas (which also smelled musty). The lobby seemed nice, location was not bad but you would need a tube or taxi to go wherever […] your going. Luckily the tube station was very close. Some of the staff were great, but others needed training. Overall, I do think the hotel does need improvements. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Kensington area hotel"
This hotel is definitely recommended. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was a bit soft so I gave it a 4 star for comfort but a soft bed might work out well for some people. It is also located in a great area that's close to the Kensington and Hyde Park Gardens. It is about 50 yards from the Gloucester Road […] station and the station is centrally located to many different tourist attractions and other places. Kensington area seems very safe with many different restaurants/pubs around. The next time we visit London, we will stay at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel again. "Comfortable and Clean Hotel"
Based on previous reviews I expected to find a somewhat run down hotel. Not the case at all! (And I am a hotel snob). My boyfriend and I went to tour London for a few days, and we were completely happy with our stay at Millennium Gloucester! Very clean. Good sized room. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Nice shower/bathroom. It's also a block away from a very […] convenient tube stop. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Find another hotel"
We arrived on Thursday. Asked for a recommendation for lunch and was told to go to the Hotel Bailey which apparently they own. The service was awful, really bad attitude and the food was pricey and mediocre. Learned later that we could have gotten sandwiches in the bar for a lot less and probably better tasting. Friday we were out for over 7 hours, […] returning after 5 pm. Neither of our rooms had been cleaned. The front desk people, especially the manager, were rude and less than helpful. The manager told me that I had no right to expect my room to be cleaned by a certain time - I said that I just wanted it cleaned. He told me that they clean rooms until 11 pm. After a discussion of 10 minutes, I told him that the conversation and he were useless. He came after me at the elevator and told me that a woman of my age (I am 66) should not talk that way and told me I should be ashamed of myself. I never used any foul language nor did I scream at him. My daughter's room faced the street and the noise on the 4th floor made it difficult to sleep. Ours faced the back and was quiet. Bathrooms have a door stop that is awkward location and both of us injured our toes on it. Only mirrors are in the bathroom or behind a chair not useful to getting ready. Lighting is also not very good. All and all a big disappointment. We stayed in much nicer and lower priced hotels in London in the past. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Roomy and comfortable."
No real complaints. It was a bit hard to control the temperature, the air conditioning was either on or off, and when on it was noisy. You can't open a window, and the draperies let in very little light. Good location though, and otherwise very comfortable with a nice big bath.Genuine Expedia guest review
"GREAT HOTEL FOR BUSINESS & PLEASURE"
location is ideal being in central London, convenient to transportation, markets & restaurants. Room is comfortable, & hotel staffs extremely helpful. The concierge team members Nik, Andrew & David had been extremely helpful before & after our arrival in London. I will recommend this to anybody & I will definitely stay in this hotel again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"convenient"
Very good buffet breakfast. Room clean but old-fashioned, and one piece of furniture in disrepair. Not very quet. Hotel ideally situared to Gloucester Road tube station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"London good value for the money option - Hotel"
This is the perfect hotel when visiting London. If you plan to use public transportation (Buses, Underground) you can not go wrong, the gloucester station is half block away - from there yuo can go anywhere in London; major attractions are within 15 min. The area is very safe - you are few blocks from the parks (Hyde park and Green park) and also alsmot […] in the middle of Kensignton area (where you enjoy a nice, relaxing walk) . As in many areas in London, pleanty of good restaurants - if you are in a hurry you can find easily fast food too. This Hotel is good for everyone (families, business folks, etc.). I have stayed several times there - one time I even met and greet a tennis players in the lobby (during the Wimbledom championships). The rooms are very well kept and always clean, they are not the typical tiny London hotels, the space is generous. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Make sure to ask to be away from the smoking rooms - very stinky in the corridors!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good but watch out"
Pros: Close to underground, starbucks, other shops, good restaurants. Good rooms. Cons: About 33 USD a day for Wi-Fi! WTF! It's 2012, you get free Wi-Fi in the jungle! 4 USD per local phone call! Dreadful, greedy. No swimming pool. No free breakfast (not that you have to offer that, but then adjust the price accordingly).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stay at the Gloucest Millenium"
Have stayed in this hotel each time we have visited London over the past 5 or 6 years. Hotel is getting a little tired - lighting in the rooms, particularly the bathroom needs improvement. Use of hair dryers that don't have to have a button held down while you dry your hair would be an advantage. Free WiFi would also be a plus.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Made me feel like an inconvienece"
Hotel Millennium is in great quality and in a perfect location but there service is of low quality. While I was staying there, housekeeping totally forgot to clean my room. When I brought it to the attention of fron t desk they compensated me with a bottle of water. Management follwed my friend through the hotel as if he was a trouble maker and told […] him he was not permitted to sit in the lobby. I was never addressed my name. I felft as if I was an inconvience not as a guest. I would not recoomend this hotel to anyone. (sorry for the typos) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"May 2012"
We got to the hotel about 10:30 am and were very pleased that they were able to gib eus our room then. It was so convenient to the underground it made our transportation easyGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel, great location."
The first room was dreadful- decrepit cold and musty. All broken fixtures. They changed my room as soon as I told them of the problem. The second room was refurbished, clean and comfortable. The one problem is the ventilation: smells from the kitchen waft into the room during the day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just make sure you ask for a nice room"
I give high ratings due to the fact that the staff were extremely helpful in changing my room from the initial room I was assigned to a room one would expect upon check-in. The initial room was pretty awful....bathroom was quite dirty...toilet, floor and lots of hair in the tub; twin beds were ridiculously soft and carpet was pretty disgusting. Once […] I made the call to the the front desk and informed them of the problems, the gentlemen at the front desk worked diligently to get me better accommodations. The new room is exactly what one would expect in a 4 star hotel.....clean, fresh and good beds. I tend to think that booking thru a "3rd party", as these hotels are calling Expedia etc., tends to relegate the guest to their lowest standard room. Had I not been assigned this room at the onset, I would have a clear conscience giving this hotel a high rating without hesitation. So a bit of advice to future guests, bring any discontent to the front desk's attention and you will see an improvement. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Our third stay and still very pleased."
This hotel is literally 50 steps from the Gloucester Road tube station, which serves 3 lines with easy connection to all the others. So it is very central and easy to reach the theater district, Covent Garden, museums that aren't in walking distance, and shops in Kensington and Harrods. One of the 3 direct lines goes to Heathrow airport.) There's an […] all-night Tesco Express grocery across the street, several pubs, and most importantly, several places to eat breakfast at less-than-hotel prices (although absolutely nothing is cheap in London). The room was spacious even by American standards, and the shower was powerful. The TV offered many channels in several languages. Bed was super comfortable, and there was good lighting for reading. The only drawbacks were lack of a refrigerator (it had been removed from its little cubbyhole in the credenza) and no view from the window. Staff was very helpful, sending us up ice from the bar and allowing us to check in early since our plane arrived early. This is third time we've stayed there. it's modern rather than charming, but very comfortable and the location is superb. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
