Service was first class - received an early check in, espceially valued after on overnight flight and the ordeal of Heathrow. First level room was totally soundproof. Room was very clean, fully equipped but small even by European standards. Bar was chic but relaxing. Regent Park and Warren Street tubes were only a few blocks away. Portland Street tube […] stop is closed. Green Man and Pret a Manger one block over great places for casual dining. Always a cab waiting outside if you need one. This is a lovely hotel located in a quiet neighborhood & convenient to bus lines & tour buses. Although the room was small (reminded me of a cruise ship room & not a lot of room for suitcases) it was still very very comfortable. Would definitely stay at this hotel if ever in London again & would definitely reccomment it to my friends.

Room was small, typical for London, but the bathroom was wonderful, with a tub/shower and heated towels. All areas were spotlessly clean. The lobbies and room decor were very nice. two things we look at before booking a hotel are the location and price. This hotel met both of our criteria, the price was fair and the location was excellent (across from tube station and tesco). Meaning you could go anywhere and get food and drinks for regular prices! When I booked with hotels.com, I was looking for a good location but also for the least expensive hotel in London. What I got was a gorgeous property with a highly professional staff that far exceeded my expectations in every way. The international staff was fun to chat with, the room was opulent dark wood and granite, and the bar and restaurant's food […] and drink was stellar. I have to give the hotel kudos for the fact that it is nearby 3 very convenient tube stations that, as a tourist, can get you pretty much anywhere you would want to go in London. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. But, just know that if you get the standard room, they are VERY small. We recently stayed here on a weekend theatre break and were not disappointed. The hotel is only metres away from the nearest tube, the staff were very helpfull and approachable, the cleanliness was immaculate and although we paid a little bit more than we would normally pay, we would not hesitate to stay here again. I'd not stayed at this hotel for 10 years or more, and was very much looking forward to my stay. The Junior Suite rate on hotels.com was considerably cheaper than the rate I'd been offered by booking directly with the hotel, but on arrival, I decided to upgrade to a Master Suite, with only a small amount of persuasion from the very pleasant and friendly […] chap behind the desk. Although I had arrived early, well before the 3pm check-in time, I was offered use of the original Junior Suite that I'd booked, before transferring to the Master Suite at around 3pm - this was because the Master Suite was still occupied at that point. This latter suite turned out to be a huge room with entrance lobby, distinct separate seating/dining area and bedroom, and 2 bathrooms (although only the larger one contained a bath and two showers). Some of the furniture was looking a little battered and scratched, which is why I have only scored 4/5 for this item. But overall, the decor is rich and lavish, the huge 6 foot wide bed was extremely comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was a nice addition. The air-conditioning was also extremely effective, which was ideal as the outdoor temperature was approaching 30 degrees C! There was also a pillow menu, from which I ordered an anti-snoring pillow (although I was told it was not that effective!) Booking a suite entitled us to use of 'The Level', which is a separate bar/dining area, in which full English breakfast is also served. It is therefore generally quieter than the other public bars/restaurants. An added bonus was availability of complimentary canapes and drinks (including beers/wines) each evening. During the day, tea/coffee/soft drinks and biscuits/fruit are available, together with a selection of books and games. It's a nice place to spend an hour or two, whether alone or with a companion. The hotel was situated very close to Great Portland Street tube station and very convenient for all journeys. The hotel itself and facilities were very good, although I did experience a few probelems with reception staff. Although check in time stated as 3:00 pm, when arriving at 3:15 pm I was told that no rooms were available and they could not give […] me a clue as to when they would be ready - due to housekeeping, as the hotel was fully booked that day. Some reception staff not very helpful on this issue and did not seem to react very quickly at all, when I was trying to check in very quickly to get off to see a concert, working to tight time schedules. The economy room didn't have twin beds like it said in the reservation, but the bed was large enough for two friends to sleep comfortably. The first floor room also had some noise coming from the undeground trains running just underneath, but otherwise it was rather calm. Service was excellent, especially the concierge gave valuable advice and organised […] everything we could imagine to ask for rapidly and in a very friendly manner. There are pubs and restaurants in the vicinity, an underground station opposite the street and buses stopping nearby. The Marylebone area is also great for shopping. Had a great weekend at the Whitehouse - great location - very central to all major tourist attractions - we walked to most as the weather was lovely. Hotel was very friendly and courteous at both reception and bar. Så vi kunne bo en natt gratis på et dyrere rom, men så måtte vi enten betale 66 pund pr. natt eller flytte til et "vanlig" rom etter en natt. Syntes dette var kjempe kjedelig! Veldig sentralt, bare ti min. gange fra Oxford street og rett ved to t-banestopp tilhørende hver sin linje. Litt slitt hotell, men det er jo de fleste hotellene i London. Det var ok på mange måter, men hotellet var (er ) lite flink til å informere sine gjester underveis. Eksempelvis ble hovedrestaurant stengt i flere dager og da den andre restaurant ble utleid til lukket arrangement om lørdagen måtte man ut av hotellet for å spise middag. Hotellet hade bra läge, nära tunnelbanastation men dock inte längs med någon linje som skulle gått söderut. DÅ var det bättre att ta bussen. Vårt rum var rent men otroligt litet, vi kunde inte öppna resväskan någon annanstans än på sängen... Jag ville låna ett paraply i receptionen men det kostade tio pund! Det har aldrig hänt mig! Lika så kunde man […] inte öppna kylskåpet om man inte betala 15 pund i receptionen. Märkligt. Palvelutaso huippuluokkaa, monipuolinen aamiainen ja järkevän hintainen mas reward- jäsenille. Hotellin vieressä metroasema, jolla tosin ei suoraan pääse ihan ydinkeskustaan, vaihtamalla metroa kyllä pääsi sinnekin. Aivan hotellin vieressä myös saitsari- pysäkki (hop-on, hop-off).

Et spanskdrevet hotell nær Euston Station. Veldig bra service og hyggelig personale! Rommet var som forventet, men mye roligere enn de fleste. Vi hørte så å si ingen trafikkstøy selv med vinduet åpent. Melia White House ligger nær flere ulike tube-linjer, og det tar kort tid å komme seg overalt. Eller man kan gå en trivelig fottur ned til Oxford Street, […] - det tar 15 minutter. Vi valgte å spise frokost utenfor hotellet, og det er enkelt på hverdager.
