Famous for its hotels, Mayfair holds London's most expensive homes and, on Bond Street, its most expensive shops. But the tucked-away pubs, restaurants, and shops of atmospheric Shepherd Market offer affordable local colour, too. Sandwiched between several main roads, Marylebone has a village atmosphere and a charming High Street. "Very nice room"
The hotel location is very convenient to the tube and to restaurants. Our Classic room was very clean and nicely appointed. The room was small but met our needs very well. Getting into the shower did require some physical agility and could be a deal breaker for older folks or the less physically able. Our room was promised to be ready to check in by […] 3:00 but it was not, and still not ready at 4:00. We were finally given another room sometime after 4. We encountered several others who had the same problem. Fortunately the lobby is very nice and pleasant. Overall: I would definitely stay again. This is a very nice hotel. "Very good value and quality"
This hotel was excellent for its price point in terms of size of room, comfort, location, quietness, facilities, and overall quality. It's about a block away from a tube station, with close by eating establishments. Moving up in terms of location or quality would have cost much more, and in our opinion, not be worth it. We would definitely stay there […] again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Much better that what I expected! Good location, friendly and helpful staffs, nice room. Very Good experience!!Genuine Expedia guest review
After a long day and night of traveling, we arrived at the hotel a little after 7:00 am. We were just hoping to drop off our luggage, but they were able to let us check in! Wonderful to be able to get a shower after spending so many hours on a plane. From the moment we walked in the door, every member of the staff was helpful and friendly. The room […] was a little small, but it was actually better than what we expected for the price and location. Internet worked well the whole time we were there, and the beds were comfortable. Only small glitch was on the second day, housekeeping took the partially used soap, shampoo, etc., and didn't replace them with new ones. The hotel is about one block away from the underground station, and very convenient to anywhere you'd like to go in London. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and we'll be back! "Short, leisure stay"
I was very pleased with this hotel. We had a split stay and the first part was a little expensive due to timing of the Chelsea Flower Show but they upgraded us to a large room with sitting area so it was still good value. Front desk staff was exceptional. Very convenient to train stations and to multiple underground stations. Mayfair and Oxford Street […] are an easy walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ideal Location - Nice Hotel"
My wife and I stayed at the Melia White House for our Honeymoon. We opted for the larger room with Level access - both are definitely worth the extra price - we had two weeks of luggage and had plenty of space in our room, the breakfast and happy hour were excellent and will save you money in the long run.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Melia White House Hotel offers a comfortable stay with professional and helpful staff. Only two areas I can suggest for maintenance: during my short stay, the elevator to which I was assigned did not work. Also, the computers in the business center need an upgrade as they couldn't open email attachments. Otherwise, the stay was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fabulous hotel what ever you are in London for"
Location fabulous for central London, morning stroll in a beautiful park. Hotel staff could not be nicer, highly recommend and will try to stay there in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review

Right from the moment that you step through the front door and are greeted by conceirge, The Melia White House has class from A to Z. The room was beautiful, the staff pleasant and very helpful. It is also in a great location being close to shopping (Oxford St) and transport (tube and rail). "Great hotel. I will return"
The hotel is a beautiful property. Upon check-in I was upgraded to a suite with a large luxurious bathroom. The lobby bar had great live music. They could have used some more help at the desk in the morning as it took at least 15 minutes to check-out.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for business and/or couples."
The minute you enter the premises, you get a feel of "upscale"; and it is a lovely furbished establishment that is high-tech. The staff are courteous and helpful. The rooms were a reasonable size and comfortable. The bar/lounge has a relaxing atmosphere, particularly with the evening entertainment. The best rates are when you pay in advance of your […] stay, but of course there is always a risk, should you need to cancel. The downside is that if you make use of the fridge (which is small), there is a PNDS15 a day charge. Oh, and be careful of the minibar (fridge) - which is well stocked I might add - it is computerized; so immediately upon taking an item out of its slot, you will be automatically charged! I made use of the gym which was relatively nice and clean. Location was convenient; about 8 minutes by taxi from St. Pancras Station, and there is also a tube station about 150 yards away. I would recommend this hotel and look forward to returning. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. (2 for 1 for Melia Club members). Also, great restaurant Demartinos down the block on Portland St. The bar had a nice singer at night. "Great Hotel all around!"
We were so surprised when we saw our room! We thought for European standards, the room would be tight but it was huge even compared to US standards. It had 2 pull out sofas, a king sized bed and still plenty of room for the 4 of us. The staff were so friendly, the breakfast and tapas were amazing, drinks were available at any time of day, the free wifi […] was great, business office for printing was a plus and the workout room was great. We loved the treats that were left in our room each night. The hotel was so clean! The location was great since the tube was across the street and several other stations were close by. We walked to Madame Tussauds, Regent's Park and to Oxford street for shopping. Awesome location!! Would highly recommend it to friends and family. Well worth the money especially with all the extra's that are included in the price unlike at other hotels. We will go back for sure. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"First Class London Hotel at a bargain rate"
A very impressive older hotel that is fully up to date in service and amenities. Terrific location. The only criticism is that, like many British hotels, there is no lesser option to the full breakfast buffet at what is an outrageous price for the average American.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"An Excellent Place in London"
All in all, the Meilia White House is solid, reliable pick for a hotel in London. It's stylish without being pretentious. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The housekeepers were responsive to requests. I would recommend booking this hotel on a major booking site (one you trust) as the rates are probably better and, after watching someone walk up and […] try to get a room, it seemed the staff do better with pre-bookings. We had a few quibbles. We dislike duvets (vs. sheets/blankets) and found the single beds a tad on the small side; making us wish we'd taken the superior king instead. The hotel is very close to a Tube station and buses, but if you're heading for the downtown the tourist spots, there's no straight shot. Breakfast is extra - so don't expect a full English thrown in free. Yes, I would definitely use this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent London Hotel"
I was honestly quite worried about the size of the rooms based on the reviews from others, but it turns out, the room (and the bathroom) were both sufficiently sized for two adults. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the doorman and our luggage was taken to our room for us. I loved the location. The […] hotel had a few restaurants of its own and a lovely bar with a pianist, but there was also a great local tapas restaurant within a couple minutes' walk. The Great Portland Street tube station was across the street as well which made for great access to the London sites. Will definitely stay here again, and the value for money was phenomenal! "Great location for the tube"
We had a great stay at the Meila White House. The staff was very pleasant and the room always clean. The bathroom is a bit small but we expected it to be small since it was in London and others commented on the small size. While it was small it wasn't unmanageable. The location of the hotel was perfect for using the tube, which is very easy to navigate. […] There was a great pub nearby and many restaurants. Overall, a great experience. Maid service was ok she forgot something every day, like coffee cups, washcloths, etc. Also she removed 2 dishes that I left in the bathroom that were gifts I was given in one of the pubs we had gone too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is right across the street from the Great Portland Street tube station, very good location for using the tube system. Wireless internet didn't work very well in our room but I do know they were working on it so hopefully that gets fixed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great food great staff great location bad TV"
I enjoyed this hotel. The staff is wonderful and they really do a great job of cleanliness. I was disappointed that the ad had pay-per-view movie channels but that instead they only had about 30 crappy TV channels. Also the room was a bit old though it's an older hotel so it can be expected. Great food, great staff, great location.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed in an executive room which had a large bed (king?) with comfortable pillows. There is a pillow menu if you prefer different ones. "Don't overlook Melia White House in London"
The Melia White House is a great London location. Close to the tube, great for a run in Regent Park. A "Virgin Gym" just steps away. The Hotels comfortable amenities make you feel at home.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful accommodations, when you can check in!"
My only disappointment was that I was supposed to be able to check in around 1 pm, and when I went to check in after arriving from the States (feeling gross and wanting to shower/change), I was told the room wasn't ready and that they were going to notify the housekeeping staff to put it on priority. When I asked when I could check in, the staff member […] said 3:00. I then heard another staff member saying the exact same line to a couple who was also trying to check in. I think they should get it together! Other than that, the room was lovely, and the lobby area was also beautiful. I really liked the bathroom decor. "Melia White House in London"
The Melia White House Hotel in London was absolutely oustanding. Everyone in the hotel was willing to help. Extremely good service. The meals were great as well. The location was central and from it it was easy to go all over. I will definitely go back to that hotel. Melia is a great chain of hotels from Spain and this hotel is no exception.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"First Hotel stay in London"
My wife and I (US couple) visited London from Tuesday through Saturday, Nov 8-12, 2011. The Melia is located in the Regent's Park neighborhood and had Excellent access to the underground with the Great Portland station just a 1/2 block away (2 minutes). There were 2 other stops within 5-8 minutes in opposite directions. Also, one of the "Original Tour" […] sightseeing bus lines stopped 200 feet from the front of the hotel! The room was a 'superior' double with a king bed and was clean, comfortable & comparable to any "Better" US hotel room. Per Hotel.com it was supposed to have a microwave and small refrigerator, but it only had a minibar fridge without room for additional food. As usual with European hotels, bring your own washcloths! "Comfortable, full service, great location"
Service was first class - received an early check in, espceially valued after on overnight flight and the ordeal of Heathrow. First level room was totally soundproof. Room was very clean, fully equipped but small even by European standards. Bar was chic but relaxing. Regent Park and Warren Street tubes were only a few blocks away. Portland Street tube […] stop is closed. Green Man and Pret a Manger one block over great places for casual dining. Always a cab waiting outside if you need one. "Melia White House Hotel in London"
This is a lovely hotel located in a quiet neighborhood & convenient to bus lines & tour buses. Although the room was small (reminded me of a cruise ship room & not a lot of room for suitcases) it was still very very comfortable. Would definitely stay at this hotel if ever in London again & would definitely reccomment it to my friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Melia White House Hotel - I'll tell my friends"
This Hotel was great. Price was right and close to everything; bus stops, tube station, always a taxi standing by. Only negative - Breakfast much over priced and rooms was too small. But I guess I could have paid for a larger room. Great helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
