Location is 2 blocks to the S. Kensington tube. We walked everywhere from here because we had amazing weather. Close to Hyde Park, Harrods, High Street, museums, etc. The morning breakfast was a little skimpy is the only thing I can say derogatory. The location is convenient (close to Hyde Park and only a few minutes walk to the tube) and the room was clean, but that is about all I have to say that is good about the hotel. Although the appearance of the hotel as well as the room was nice, I did not feel I got what I paid for. The staff was not overly-friendly, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, […] and the room was incredibly hot (the a/c did not work). In addition, the walls/doors/widows are very thin so between the traffic outside and other people making noises in their rooms there was always something annoying to listen to. Charming old world exterior with modern upgrades inside, this hotel (perfectly located in upscale South Kensington between two nearby tube stops) features hi tech amenities like memory foam beds, sensor-activated room lights and flat screen TV with external component plugs for your computing and gaming needs. The breakfast was rather skimpy (mostly a small selection of fruit and muffins) and the wifi required a staff member bringing up a new code to my room each day. The location of The Regency would be hard to top, with lots of major sites, great restaurants and a train/Tube station within walking distance. My room was very clean, modern and comfortable with great heat and a nice big window. The hotel is stingy when it comes to amenities.They provide a big bottle of shampoo/body wash in the shower, in a holder […] that is screwed to the wall so no one can take it. There is a similar bottle attached to the wall at the sink. It would make a big difference for them to get on board with hotel chains that offer nice amenities from name-brands. The Regency offers free WiFi but they are also stingy with the WiFi. They gave me a different password for every device I wanted to get online with. The password expired in about 20 hours and the only way to get back online was to go to the lobby for new printouts w/ passwords on them, or have someone bring these printouts up. I tried that & waited over an hour for someone. Very annoying. WiFi would also kick me off any device that went to sleep, so I'd have to sign on every time. I went for a small upgrade in room so I had access to the lounge that offers free continental breakfast, which was really great and totally worth the extra fee. I saved a lot of money that way. Breakfast was coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. Unfortunately, the one time I tried to use the lounge during an afternoon when it was supposed to be open, it was locked. The room at the Regency was very nice and the bed was super comfortable. It's in a great location, close to the tube and also to Earl's Court if you are in town for a conference there. Overall, enjoy my stay. The room is very nice but it has thin walls, which mean you can hear people talking along the corridor. Services are generally good except for day one, when they took a while to do my check-in (the lady servicing me 'disappeared' and I've to get another lady to help me with the check in).

the room was a fairly large size for the price and the location was reasonably convenient and close to public transport. the only negative was that when i wanted to check in, the staff said they were not sure a room would be ready at 14:00-- the concierge said i would maybe need to wait until 14:30, or 14:45, which is not what the hotel policy states... […] check in is at 14:00. i eventually got my room but only cause i stressed that i needed to go to a business meeting at 15:00 and so i could not wait. Lovely hotel in a good location and good service. Was pleasantly surprised with some extras included such as a exec suite with light breakfast, coffee and interenet all day and drinks early evening. What is the matter with some hotels? Like many others at this level, The Regency has recently revamped a number of its rooms... They are pretty nice, with dark woods and good quality white linens. The bathrooms look particulalry good with neon blue "night lights" at floor level, and the whole place was pretty clean. I am no fan of patterned carpets, […] but fully understand why hotels install them, so will let these pass. I stay in London hotels regularly (at least 3-4 nights per month) and was so impressed with the Regency that I was ready to make this my default choice in future... Until I got in the shower! I know that hotels are all doing their best to reduce water usage and in particular waistful consumption of water, but reducing the water flow in the showers to a mere trickle is not the way to do it or to get repeat customers. Instead of a shower taking 5 minutes, this lack of water draws the experience out to 10 as you struggle to get the last of the shampoo out of your hair. Normally, a shower after work is a pleasure for me; here it became a chore! I am not joking, it really was that bad! I did a quick straw pole in my office just now and got universal agreement that this sort of thing would put us all off going back. Overall, the hotel's offering is very good, but if until the hotel removes the ridiculous flow reducing valves from its shower heads, I will not be returning! Read more

Stayed in 8 hotels in the last 10 weeks in this area. Will chose this one as preferred whenever the price is right. Very clean and modern - and surprisingly larger rooms for London. Only downside is lack of room service options - and limited dining in the evenings.

Although the bathrooms and furniture in my club room were looking there age I think the staff and location more than make up for this. 5 mins walk from South Kensington Tube, plenty of places to eat, 10 mins walk to V&A. Staff very helpful and polite. We ate a a late snack in the bar, pot of hot chocolate with a Flake. Yum

Flying in to Gatwick and by train to Victoria, The Regency Hotel is perfectly located just a few stations by Tube, a cab will set you back less than £10. A bit small bathroom for my taste. The queen size bed was a dream with a "memory foam" mattress, slept lika a baby!

Overall that's a very decent, fairly priced (for the area) hotel. The had Bfeast and Internet included. The only small caveat is the room was overheated and could not have the window open as it was too noisy.
