"Home from Home"
I've been staying in these apartments over the past few years, so I've seen the progressions from the original building. There are now more rooms than originally designed due to the building being extended upwards and outwards. Sometimes the maintenance has lacked resulting in things like the water temperature being a bit on the cool side, but this […] is probably because the previous occupant hasn't reported it. I've found that when I report a problem, it's resolved very quickly - either the same day, or sometimes the next day depending on the nature of the problem. Staff are very friendly, and although Reception isn't manned 24 hours, there is an out of hours telephone contact in case you need assistance. Prices have increased lately, but that's probably due to the overall increase in costs in the industry. The apartments are however still good value for money in my opinion. I prefer to look after myself when I travel away from home, and these apartments offer full cooking and washing facilities as well as TV and free WiFi. There is a Tesco Express just yards away from the building, a chip shop over the road, then round the corner it's only a short walk to the Oracle Shopping Centre and Reading Town Centre where you'll find all the usual banks, shops, etc. Overall I've given these apartments a 5 star rating even though there are a few minor issues here and there. It depends what you want as to how you view your own experience. For me, it's fine, it's comfortable, and I can come 'home' from work and just chill!
