Staycity Serviced Apartments Duke St, Spectrum

If something seems too good to be true, it usually is. This place was no exception. I was excited to find a "four star" place in the heart of L'pool for a great price. We were meeting friends there and thought an apartment would be ideal. We were in for a rude awakening! I was embarassed to have been the one to have booked this part of our stay in the […] UK. The apartments are actually across the street from the registration desk; and while very nice, the staff had no idea of how to run the washer, turn on the water heater or help us in any meaningful way. They said they would contact maintenance, but we never heard back from them. The hallways of the building reminded me of a prison - or a college dorm; The place is loud and echo-y. The neighborhood was fairly seedy, but there was gated garage parking, which was a relief. The bathroom was clean, but the carpeted floors in the rest of the place were FILTHY. We were supposed to have 2 double beds but somehow ended up with a set of twins and one double, despite the fact the place was mostly empty. The combination washer/dryer did not work (correction: worked well enough to wet, but not clean my clothes.) I had to drive miles to find a laundromat. Dirty floors as we arrived kind of set the scene for the stay. The living room heater cable had been cut in two possibly disconnected but who knows? The bathroom towell rail was also disconnected and that meant that the only way to heat the bathroom was with a portable heater. When we unfolded the sofa bed we found a very old and very worn and skagged […] mattress protector which we felt uncomfortable with using, so we didn't. There were no pillows for the sofa bed but they delivered some when asked. We also asked that the flat be inspected but no feedback has so far been received. The noise from the other apartrment users coming in and screaming at all hours of the night meant that we actually had very little sleep during our stay. The living room bed was no better as there are nightclubs outside and across the road so our daughter didn't sleep either. The final straw is that automatic lights flood the bedrooms whenever anybody is anywhere on the landings. Read more

It's a shame they could be great apartments but unfortunately they are a complete dump & filthy dirty , staff unfriendly but location good . Ok for stag nights but do not visit with a family like myself .

We booked this hotel when we turned up at Liverpool. tooke us half an hour to book in, then we had to drive up the road to our appartment and search down a lil backstreet for the underground parking, then i had run round the front of the building to let us into the car park. then when we finially gotinto the apartment there was a lamp with nowhere to […] plug it in, 4 dining chairs but no table it was cold and had to use the oven and hobs to warm the place up. it has a bed and a shower so if u want to doss somewhere for the night it will do but will be trying elsewhere next time first. Billederne på nettet er ikke tilsvarende lejlighederne. De er ok pæne, men er sparsomt indrettet. Brødrister + føntørrer virkede ikke og der manglede service. Dette klagede vi over, men der blev ikke gjort noget. Dejlige senge, når man endelig fik noget søvn.. Kan ikke anbefales til familier som gerne vil bo der tors-fre-lør. Det er et partyhotel for […] unge mennesker og selvom der er vagter på i bygningen fre-lørdag, så hjælper det ikke da de går kl.11. kom på fredag til leiligheten i duke street,men måtte gå over på andre siden av veien der leilighetene var. det var en skuffelse for de leiligheten som var over der vi sjekket inn var mye bedre enn de vi bodde i. Greit for en guttegjeng som fester stort sett hver dag,men for partur eller foretningsreise er det ikke å anbefale. veldig lytt i gangene. […] Vi bodde der i 3 netter og 5 personer og fikk kun 4 håndkler som vi skulle bruke på de dagene, det samme med dasspapir. 2 ruller,5 personer og 3 netter. det gikk selvfølgelig ikke :) Read more

Globalement satisfait sauf sur le chauffage. Pas de chauffage en sdb . Le chauffage de la pièce principale est tombé en panne, nous l'avons signalé immédiatement mais il n'a pas été réparé (séjour du 20 au 24 décembre)

Irre!!! Zuerst stehen 5 Bauarbeiter in meinem Schlafzimmer die der Meinung waren mir beim aufwachen zuschauen zu müssen was ich nicht wirklich komisch fand. Sie gingen dann auch wieder nachdem fertig waren mit glotzen. Als ich am Abend aus Manchester zurück war dachte ich mich trifft der Schlag, in meinem Apartment waren in allen Räumen die Lichter […] an und die Eingangstür stand offen, naja waren ja auch nur meine Sachen die für jeder zugänglich waren. Dann gehe ich ins Schlafzimmer und was sehe ich, die Betten waren in der Mitte des Raumes zusammengeschoben und das Bettzeug total verwüstet. Der Spiegel und das große Bild die beide am morgen noch an der Wand hingen lagen mit ihren dreckigen Rückseiten auf meinem Bett und verschmutzten das Bettzeug. Vom Kleiderschrank war eine Tür demoliert sie hing nnoch an einem in der Mitte befestigtem Verbindungsstück, einem von drei. Als ich mich beschwerte sagte man mir in dem Gebäude in dem ich bin werden die Zimmer rennoviert. Das war es, erst nach dem ich einen Aufstand gemacht habe bekamm ich ein neues Zimmer.
