Front dest person extremely nice. Breakfast good. Location excellent. Price reasonable. The room feels a little squishy or small with lots of furniture. One bad note, just because there is a paper on the toilet saying it is clean does not mean it is clean. They should check if toilet is really clean. Good stay anyway.

Charming hotel even though located not in the downtown. I recommend it to anyone travelling to Liverpool. Neat place, great breakfast (buffet), friendly staff, has an elevator. From Lime Street Station there’re buses 10, 10A, 10B running frequently – 10 min ride.

Stayed as a party of 12 and found the hotel welcoming although there had been an error with one room. The guy wasn't very helpful and wouldn't change the booking -'rules are rules'. Car parking was limited and a bit of a squeeze and the hotel exterior could do with a tidy up. Really liked staying here all staff were friendly, the room, although on the small size was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful with a wife choice although they have a machine for drinks, that was not good. The area doesn't look too good but everyone was welcoming in the places we went to. We will be staying here again.

If you has a car, this hotel would be really good. However, if you need to book a car, you must told drive where the location is, even post code. Two out of five drivers told me that it is the first time that they went to there.

The service was good and the room does give a nice comfortable feeling. However the downside were the noise due to thin wall, slight expensive on weekend and the lift was not working and ended up having to carry our luggage 3 floor high.

We stayed 2 adults and 4 children in a suite for 6 persons. Good beds, enough towels to everyone. No traffic noise. Walking distance to Anfield. Good bus connections to city center. Groceryshops,Mac Donalds and good Indian restaurant nearby. Friendly staff, spacious breakfast room,delicious breakfast. This hotel is in a brilliant location to visit Liverpool city centre as it is only a mile away and whilst parking can be pricey in the city, it works out a lot cheaper than staying in a city centre hotel and having to pay to park constantly. We took a taxi into the town one night and it cost £6 each way - not bad at all. The hotel itself is more like […] a house and the rooms are lovely and cosy. The bad - we did not have a fridge as advertised, one of the blinds was broken and the plastic edging of the shower had come away. Also, we faced the main road the traffic noise during the night was pretty loud. The good - The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We had a few drinks in the bar and the prices are reasonable. We asked at reception how long it would take to get to Manchester (we were going on to there for a night's stay) and the receptionist not only told us but also found us a route planner and wrote down all the directions! The breakfast was really good quality, my partner had a cooked breakfast each day and I only eat continental but there was loads to choose from! We stopped in this hotel midweek and whilst I was weary because of some negative reviews, it was very good accommodation, especially as we paid a very low price. Yes the rooms are a bit small and I would have liked to have a desk or a table to sit at, but it was very comfortable and you couldn't hear noise from the rest of the hotel rooms. The staff are happy to assist you in whatever you need - we didn't have a hairdryer in our room as advertised or any bottled water on the second day but they apologised and provided us with them. Overall it was a very reasonable hotel outside of the city centre but I wouldn't pay too much for it. Read more

The hotel looked very nice on the outside. No complaints about the breakfast which was very well done and generous. It was a bit unfortunate that the hotel is located in a part of Liverpool that has very few restaurants and wasn't a pleasant environment to walk around late in the evening. My only major criticism of the hotel was the condition of the […] equipment in the room (room 8). Upon arrival I noticed that the lamp shade by the bed was broken as was the bulb inside. I ended up replacing it with the one from the wall fitting although perhaps in hindsight I should have called down for a new bulb. One of the curtain rings was hanging off the pole and I had to fix that. When I went to bed I also noticed that the alarm clock wasn't working so I plugged it in! It still didn't work! Something else that I thought was a bit strange was the fact that majority of the radiator in the room was obstructed by the desk and the fridge. This wasn't too much of a problem as the weather was warm but this could be a problem in the winter. However, I thought that the decor of the room was extremely pleasant and looked quite fresh; it was just a pity that some of the fixtures were broken. All things considered, I would stay in the hotel again and would recommend it to colleagues as I feel that the things that were wrong could be easily rectified. Read more

Perfect location for a Liverpool FC home game. It is only about 9 stops from Anfield stadium on the 28 bus. It is also only 20 minutes from the city center, on a direct route also covered by the 10 bus to Lime St. main train station. The staff we dealt with were all friendly and helpful. Because it attracted match goers like myself, obviously late night revelers come with the territory. If you can put up with the risk of some noise after closing time, the location is perfect and the price very reasonable and competitive. The city itself has had a major face lift in recent years and is much improved visually. The streets seemed reasonably safe, but we saw lots of taxis around the main tourist spots if that is your preference. If you are on a father-and son mission, you may find like me that it is very beneficial to have McDonald's diagonally opposite across Beech Street. Small shops also close, the nearby street junction is in the middle of a local shopping district. As an added bonus, between Beech Mount and McD's there is a user-friendly outdoor free web kiosk. There you can record and email his mom a video made live in Liverpool with reasonable quality audio so he can tell her about the trip so far. This kiosk was a clincher for my young lad. FYI to dads, if he is too small to be on-camera on his own two feet, you can get him to stand on a suitcase or something to get into the line of sight, which seems aimed at adults or teenagers. Abzug gibt es für die Betten (2 Einzelbetten), die leider nur mit billigen Federkernmatratzen ausgerüstet waren, welche lediglich auf einem Holzbrett anstatt eines Lattenrostes lagen. Sehr nettes Personal, kleine Zimmer, aber das ist egal, man ist ja nur zum Schlafen da. Sehr kleine Dusche und ein französisches Bett, max. 1,40 breit. Da muss man sich schon sehr lieb haben in der Nacht. Die Zimmer sind leider sehr hellhörig, auch der Umstand, dass alle Türen als Feuerschutztüren mit hydraulischen Türschließern ausgestattet sind, läßt […] ein leises Türschließen einfach nicht zu! Muss man eben etwas länger im Pub bleiben und der letzte sein, der schlafen geht... Das Frühstückbuffet ist einerseits typisch englisch, anderseits versucht man auch, dem europäischen Besicher gerecht zu werden. DieBedienung ist äußerst aufmerksam, der Kaffee heiß und stark und der Frühstücksraum angenehm. Es gibt drei Sorten Wurst und verschiedene Käsesorten, Butter und Marmelade, Milch und viele(!) Sorten Tee. Eine Bushaltestelle liegt gleich neben dem Hotel. Ein- und Auschecken war völlig unkompliziert, wir hatten allerdings über EXPEDIA gebucht. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb, aber mit dem Taxi oder Bus ist das Zentrum in 10 min.erreicht.
