"Perfectly Adequate!"
The Mercure Ayr was far from exquisite luxury however, it was really pleasant and an absolute pleasure to find a lovely town as Ayr is. The view from my room over the coast was a delight. There is a nominal charge for the limited car parking offered by the hotel, and on my visit the gym was unavailable. Overall a good value tidy roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs updating"
Loacation was good but hotel decor was old and shabby. Room was near the lifts and these were noisy, so disturbed sleep. Cleanliness of the rooms was quite poor. Food was average quality and overpriced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Recently changed owners from Ramada to Mecure. I'm guessing Mecure haven't instilled there standards yet as this was the worst hotel in their group I've stayed at so far.
